For use in scale models, consoles, shopping malls (background music) and kiosk applications, we designed a solid-state MP3 player with a programmable 'control' and an interface to external electronics. The H0420 MP3 player produces high quality audio, that it streams from a CompactFlash disk (types 1 and 2). As mentioned, the H0420 optionally interfaces to external electronics, which can range from a mere few switches and/or LEDs, to a slave microcontroller that communicates with the MP3 player through a parallel or serial bus. Connecting the player to a PC or other peripheral, via RS232 or an Ethernet LAN, is another option. The functionality of the control logic on the MP3 player is fully scriptable (read programmable) in the pawn language. For quotation requests or technical information, please. To visit us, see the. You may wish to install this update if you purchased your H0420 MP3 player before 12 December 2011. Devices purchased after that date already contain this latest firmware release. The most recent version of the pawn development environment is also installed with this download. • (December 2011) • (December 2011) Features The feature list below comes directly from the (2009-09-04). Thousands of unique gifts and innovative items. Gifts for him, gifts for her, gifts for kids. Innovative collection of electronic gifts. For more information, see the and, as well as. • Solid state design. • Easy to embed in consoles, scale models or kiosks, due to it small form factor, conveniently placed mounting holes and industry-standard connectors. • Extended temperature range: -40 °C to +85 °C, suitable for out-door use. • Decodes MPEG Layer 3 stereo/mono channels, supporting all MPEG sampling frequencies and bitrates up to 320 kb/s, including variable bitrate and the very low bitrates of the MPEG 2.5 extension (8 kb/s and 16 kb/s). • High quality audio, based on a 24-bit D/A converter with 8× oversampling digital filter, low noise and low distortion. • 16 switch inputs, with bounce-filters and schmitt-triggers. • 16 general purpose inputs/outputs (I/O pins), individually configurable. • 1 analogue output, software-controlled, with an optional frequency/signal generator. • I/O pins are able to drive a LED or opto-coupler, when configured as output. • A standard LCD module, with a HD44780 controller, is directly supported using 8-bit interface (this takes 11 of the 16 I/O pins). • Serial interface (RS232 with software handshaking). • MP3 audio data is read from a CompactFlash card; type 1 and type 2 cards (i.e. 'microdrives') are supported. The controller supports FAT16 and FAT32, and nested subdirectories. • Parses the ID3 tag (version 2) with support for Synchronized Lyrics, for Karaoke or for synchronizing events to MP3 music. • Programmable by the end user through a script (in the pawn language) stored on the CompactFlash card. The developer environment is freely available and it includes a source-level debugger. • For a 'no programming required' option, the MP3 controller also comes with a set of configurable, ready-to-run scripts for a range of applications. • are possible with this MP3 controller, which is quite unique for a hardware player (even most software players running on PCs do not support this). • General file input/output to the CompactFlash card is supported, for logging usage, updating playlists or scripts through a serial connection, storing configuration settings, or other applications. • Supports encrypted MP3 audio tracks; the players can be ordered with a unique 128-bit key and the matching encryption software. • Optional extension bus with I 2C, SPI and parallel buses (plus power and other signals). Typical use of the H0420 is inside an object or apparatus where high quality audio is needed in a small and robust package. Due to its temperature range, the H0420 is suitable for outside use. As it is low energy and produces little warmth itself, it requires no ventilation. Being solid-state, it can be operational in moving or mobile objects. The player is easily embeddable in other apparatus through industry-standard electronic interfaces. ABS enclosure with LCD and integrated power supply (mains) There are diverse enclosures the H0420 MP3 controller/player, from custom-design to a few standard enclosures. The picture at the top left is a custom enclosure for an MP3 controller with a bar-code wand scanner, (rechargeable) battery power and an internal audio amplifier. The picture at the top right is a standard aluminium box with an optional clip for DIN-rail mounting. Click on the pictures for a detailed view. The H0420 is scriptable, which implies that it is fully configurable. It can respond on various inputs: switches, digital I/O, RS232. Similarly, it can drive various outputs: an LCD, LEDs, opto-couplers, or equipment branched onto the RS232 or the digital I/O bus. Audio fragments may be selected based on various criteria that you put in the script. You can abort sound that is playing, or glue together various fragments. You may also synchronize the audio to the external events based on an internal high-precision timer. The on which the MP3 controller is based, is a quick and small language whose basics can be learned in a few days —or a few hours if you already know C/C ++. The language has the event-driven programming model built-in and through the direct support for events, the pawn simplifies the construction of reactive/interactive systems. The MP3 controller parses the ID3 tag (version 2) in the MP3 file, if present. An ID3 tag is an attachment to an audio file (typically prepended) that contains additional relevant information about the audio file. Version 1 provided only a fixed set of fields (and with a fixed size). In version 2, each ID3 tag holds one or more variable-length chunks of information, called frames. Every frame holds a particular item: the title, the album name, the artist and/or band, the composer, the lyrics, the preferred volume and tone presets, etc. One particularly interesting feature of an ID3 tag is the ability to store music-synchronized lyrics. This was originally implemented for karaoke, but the MP3 controller can use it for general purpose synchronized activity: the text string that is attached to a time code or synchronization point is not necessarily a part of the lyrics, it may also be a 'cue' that triggers an action in the pawn script. See for an on-line article describing this feature. With many MP3 players the audio fragments must be downloaded via a cable to a PC (e.g. In information centres and kiosk applications, this is often inconvenient: the player is mounted inside an apparatus that is immobile and the maximum length of an USB cable is rather short. In our design, the audio files are stored on a CompactFlash card. This way, changing the audio fragments is a simple and quick procedure of replacing the CompactFlash card. With a cheap card reader (connected to a PC), one can store the audio on the card. Up/downloading via a cable is still possible, via RS232 or by connecting the MP3 player to the network and/or internet with an extension board. In some applications, you may wish to protect the audio content from being copied off the CompactFlash card onto notebooks, PCs or retail MP3 players. The H0420 offers protection by allowing you to encrypt the MP3 tracks with a strong encryption algorithm, using a 128-bit key. The key is embedded in the firmware of the H0420, and the firmware is 'read-protected' itself. In other words, the key is never transferred to the H0420 and it is not stored at any location that is accessible from the outside. A customer can request a unique 128-bit key upon ordering the H0420, and optionally enhance this with an additional password that the customer chooses him-/herself. Please to register a unique customer key, or to get more information on this application. The CD-ROM that comes with the H0420 contains several applications and software tools for configuration, programming and controlling the MP3 player/controller. The two (miniature) screen grabs above are of 'FileLink', a utility for file transfer over a serial cable, and the programmer's IDE for pawn called 'Quincy'. Click on the pictures for a detailed view. Applications Due to its programmability, the H0420 is a flexible fit in many designs. Below are a few examples, but this list is by no means exhaustive (see also the at the end of this paper for more ideas). • Use switches to select tracks and settings: either one track per switch or have switches to move forward and backward through the tracks; a switch press can start playing a track, or the device may keep playing as long as a switch is being held down. You may also choose to play a random track, so that the audio effect is different each time that a user pushes the buttons. • Instead of switches, use digital input to control the H0420. This input can come from other apparatus or controllers, or from sensors (e.g. Proximity sensors). • The switch inputs can be used with a typical 'appliance module' for the X-10 protocol for home automation and domotica. Applicance modules typically have a few relays corresponding to different commands, so a single applicance module may control several switch input lines. • With a bar-code scanner on the RS232 connector, tracks may be selected on the basis of bar-codes printed on badges or tickets, in addition, perhaps, with other criteria such as button presses. We have also connected. • The RS232 port also allows connection to many other devices, such as computers, ticket printers and professional audio equipment. The digital I/O pins of the H0420 can drive LEDs or opto-couplers. There is intrinsic support for displaying output to an LCD. • With minimal extra components (an IR-receiver chip and a pull-up resistor), you can use to change tracks or adjust settings on the device. As the analysis of the IR-protocol happens in software, it can be adjusted to any protocol and any remote control. • With a network extension board, the MP3 controller can play 'live' audio streams over the internet, synchronize the contents of the CompactFlash card with that on a server, accept commands through a web browser and report its status with SNMP, for example. • Activities, such as turning on LEDs or other equipment via its digital I/O pins, can be. Putting the H0420 MP3 controller inside a standard car radio (in place of the tape casette unit) proved to be a perfect example of the extent in which the MP3 controller is configurable and adaptable. The MP3 controller responds to the very same buttons as the radio, which is still fully functional, intercepting the commands that were originally sent to the casette drive. When a track has supplemental information in an ID3 tag, the MP3 controller shows this information on the radio LCD (with horizontal scrolling). The MP3 controller connects to the LCD through an I 2C bus. Click on the pictures for a detailed view. A predecessor of the H0420 MP3 controller (the model H0410), runs in four 'objects' in the exhibition centre in the Netherlands. A summary of these objects: • 'De strandpaal' (no picture): a single MP3 player with four head phones attached to it. The user controls the player with standard vandal resistant push buttons. The MP3 player also drives the LED illumination in the switches (the 'active' button lights up). • 'Water bellen' (no picture): an MP3 player with two switches (of the 'door bell' class) for the choice of the audio fragment. This player is also equipped with a key switch for volume control. • (salt water level): an MP3 player that responds to impulses from micro switches that are mounted on the construction, plus a key switch for volume control. • (animal dune): an MP3 player with 11 switches for the choice of the audio fragment (animal sounds). Because of the large number of switches, there is an extension board with a separate microcontroller mounted on top of the MP3 player (it connects to the player via a standard PCB 'header' connector). The out-door exhibition centre uses both the H0410 and the H0420 models. The uses MP3 controllers of the type H0420 in a few of its attractions. The amusement park uses a customized H0420 model that can record audio (through a microphone) as well as play it back. The H0420 delivers standard analogue output levels, suitable for a common power amplifier. In several applications in exhibits where the output had to go through a speaker or through a head phone, we combined the MP3 player together with an audio amplifier and a power supply (mains) in a single case. This article discusses how to implement track separation and artist separation. 2015-01-15 An ID3 tag in an MP3 track may optionally contain text or commands with time stamps. These time stamps allow the text or the commands to be synchronized with the music. The H0420 supports this extension, and the article gives a complete example implementation. 2015-01-15 Due to the file format and the algorithm of MP3 tracks, creating a loop without a gap or click is a little involved, especially when using a hardware player. The H0420 and Starling MP3 controllers can play gapless MP3 audio loops, provided that special software has processed the MP3 track. Example tracks & processing software are available from this site, as well as a detailed presentation of how it works. 2012-11-28 Adding functionality to manipulate the H0420 with a common remote control only takes the IR-receiver chip and a pull-up resistor, plus a script that interprets the codes sent by the remote control. This article goes into details and provides a general purpose script for RC5 codes (other infrared protocols are supported by modifying the script). 2011-05-23 The H0420 MP3 controller supports a low-cost bar-code wand directly on its I/O pins (only a pull-up resistors sometimes needs to be added). This article describes the connections and presents a script that decodes the 'interleaved 2 of 5' bar-code symbology. 2012-12-17 This article describes how to synchronize the internal real-time clock of the H0420 MP3 controller on the time signal emitted by the atom clock on the DCF77 transmitter. Most recent update: The article also discusses the MSF60 transmitter (in Great Britain) and protocol. 2012-11-12 The is able to play encrypted MP3 tracks directly (without needing an intermediate decryption phase, and so without start-up delay). This article discusses the software and the operations necessary to create MP3 tracks with strong encryption (and how to play them back). 2012-08-16 The MIDI protocol is a serial data communications protocol using on a 'current loop' physical layer, and using a Baud rate of 31250 bps. This article shows the electronics needed to convert between current loop and the RS232 signal levels. The circuit can be connected directly to the RS232 port of the H0420 MP3 player. In the second part, the article covers the 'software protocol' of MIDI and develops a simple script to send and receive MIDI commands. 2012-12-28 The programmable MP3 player has digital I/O pins with TTL-level output. This note describes how you can get more power (and/or a higher output voltage) from the I/O pins. 2010-03-09 The H0420 directly supports LCDs with a HD44780 controller and a positive LC-driving voltage. With the voltage inverter described here, you can also attach LCDs that need a negative LC-driving voltage. 2012-12-27 The internals of the H0420 are briefly touched upon in this on-line article. The notes cover both the hardware and the software ('firmware'). 2012-07-02 This paper is a collection of hardware notes on the use of the STA013 MP3 decoder from STMicroelectronics. I posted about HBCD a while ago, because I thought all warez were gone and the CD contained only freeware. This is not true, the CD still contains (illegal) payware. You can check this on Hiren's website: Mini Windows 98 and Mini Windows XP are both payware. (Still a great CD to have though.|-) -- s|b s|b 10:32. If you extract Hiren's.BootCD.14.0.iso, then you can burn it as an image. There are many sources of Hiren's some of which are 'evil', since Hiren's has a rep for containing a 'mixture' of freeware and copyrighted ware, it has been considered 'fair game' for nefarious sorts, just like other pirated ware. The.zip may contain some other files for doing some other functions, but the.iso contained is the.iso which needs to be burned as a boot disk, not as a data file. -- Mike Easter Mike Easter 05:41. The Complete Text and Updates First Published 2005 by Green Willow Publications of Candler, NC 28715, USA AUTHOR'S INTRODUCTION by Elora Gabriel Please read this Introduction. In many books, introductions are breezed through or skipped entirely. We hope, however, that you will take the time to read these few pages. Otherwise you will find yourself with many unanswered questions as you proceed to read the text itself. In addition, please note that there is a Glossary at the end of the book, which will be of help if you encounter unfamiliar terms. Who are we and who is Heru? This Book was compiled by four people: Elora Gabriel, Karen Kirschbaum, Shakura Rei, and Marjorie Bair. Karen is the crystal clear channel who channeled all the information recorded in these pages. It is her superlative ability as a channel which made this work possible. I am generally (though not always) the voice who asks the questions. I have also written a short narrative which introduces each Chapter; and in places my comments are inserted within the body of a Chapter. Shakura submitted many questions and helped with publishing the book. Marjorie served as consulting editor for the Book, often asked her own insightful questions, and generously shared her expertise in the publishing field. Heru is best known to our world as Horus, the Egyptian God of Light, Wisdom, Spiritual Vision, and Protection. Heru (pronounced HAY-ru) is the Ancient Egyptian form of his name and is preferred by him to the Latinized Horus. Like Jesus of Nazareth, Heru was called the Redeemer and embodied himself in a physical incarnation in the distant past. Like Jesus, he conquered death and Ascended, thus holding the title and powers of an Ascended Master in addition to his older and higher status as one of the original Creator Gods. In Egyptian mythology Heru was known as the Son of Isis and Osiris; and defeated Set, the God of Darkness and chaos, in a great battle. In that same mythology Heru was a Solar and Sky God and was associated with the falcon. He was known for his great wisdom and for the quality of spiritual sight. The Eye of Horus is a powerful esoteric symbol which was used for protection in Ancient Egypt and is still commonly seen today. Heru was said to have been the first Pharaoh of Egypt and was considered the Protector of all the Pharaohs. The Ancient Egyptians called Heru 'Lord of Light', and this title strongly resonates with my experience of who he is. Heru and his Twin Flame, the mighty Creator Goddess Sekhmet, have long been active in assisting Humanity and the evolution of this Planet. Sekhmet was known as the Lion Goddess in Egypt. She has also appeared as the Goddess Durga in India, and as the White Jaguar Lady in Central America, and as the Lion-headed Dakini Senge Dong-Ma in Tibet. She has asked that we refer to her as Durga/Sekhmet, to honor both of the major traditions in which she has appeared. Heru was known in Greece as Apollo and in India as Satyanarayana, Lord of Truth. Each of these aspects reveals a different facet of the Being in question. First and foremost Heru is a Creator God, one of those Beings who, in his words, 'is capable of taking the stuff of Creation, the Plasma from Prime Creator, and manifesting it into form. These forms may be as large as universes and may be as small as microcosms.' Heru is one of the greatest of all Creator Gods in that he is capable, in working with other Creator Gods, of creating both Human Souls and vast Universes. These mighty Beings are even older than our current Creation, as they derive from an earlier Creation cycle, and were earlier created by Prime Creator Himself/Herself. Because of his stature as one of the greatest of the Creator Gods, Heru's perspective is truly vast. There is very little that he does not know, although he will readily admit ignorance if the occasion arises. In addition, he has the capacity to organize and synthesize his knowledge into a form that is clear and meaningful. How did this Book come about? In the Winter of 2003-2004, Karen and I discovered that she could channel with amazing clarity and precision. We spoke to a number of Beings, but ended up working with Heru because of his all-encompassing knowledge and because he is part of my own Cosmic Lineage. As our conversations proceeded, we began to delve into the mysteries of life, of our Universe, and beyond. Heru also answered a great many personal questions for us and never scorned to help us with the problems and perplexities of our lives. As time went on and as we were able to verify the accuracy and consistency of his information in many ways, our trust in him increased. We also came to love this magnificent Being for his gentle courtesy, his love, his wisdom, and the greatness of his heart. Perhaps above all, we found Heru to be unremittingly truthful, knowledgeable, and consistent. In the cases where we could test the accuracy of his statements, we found them to be correct. During the Summer of 2004, Heru stated to us that he had 'been too long away' from Earth and wished to offer his teachings and his knowledge to Humanity once again. He laid out a series of subjects that he wished to speak on, and in addition gave us three powerful meditations which have been life-changing for those who have used them. Thus this Book was born. Heru also told us that there is an urgency to offer this material to Humanity at this time, given the intensity and power of the great Cosmic Changes at the end of a long and major Evolutionary Cycle which are already occurring in our Universe and are soon to occur on our Planet. You will encounter not only Heru, but from time to time will meet other Beings in these pages. Karen has the capacity to channel almost any Being. We have spoken with Sananda (also known as the Master Jesus) a number of times, as well as Durga/Sekhmet and others. Unless otherwise noted, it is Heru who has answered most of our questions. HERU'S INTRODUCTION Heru: Greetings, Dear Reader. It is my wish that you would take deeply into your heart the messages put forth in this Book. We are now at the tipping point of the history of this Planet, and also the tipping point of so many larger cycles and systems. I would have you know it is no accident that you are here on this Planet at this time and it is no accident that you are reading these words. This is the time of miracles. This is the time that has been foretold by many prophets. And yet, we have a little way still to go where it would appear that the Forces of Dark have the upper hand. I say 'appear', for there is a revolution afoot the likes of which is beyond comprehension, because the foundation of this revolution starts outside this Creation - it starts with Prime Creator Itself, and it is the reclamation and restoration of this entire Creation. Elora: Can you say something about who you are as a Being? I, Heru, am one of the Creator Gods. We are a group of Beings that Prime Creator created prior to this Creation, and so we are older than this Universe. When Prime Creator said, 'Let there be Light,' we were the instruments through which that was manifested. We are the weavers of this magical substance that Prime Creator pours forth endlessly. And we weave and we shape that sacred substance into Forms, into Elements, into Worlds, into Universes, into Souls. We are the Beings who create the soul inside the Sun, and we create the Sun. All substance that we create with is of Prime Creator. I personally, along with others, was involved in the creation of this Universe, the creation of this Planet, and the creation of many of the Souls who inhabit this Planet. So I am Father, Uncle, and Great Uncle to many of you. And I would like to reclaim my own - to lift up, embrace, and heal my Children. Elora: Why have you chosen to give these Teachings at this time? First, I would like to say that, as one of the Creator Gods who was involved in the creation of this World and this Universe, I am a responsible party in its reclamation. Even though I have not been very active on this Planet for several thousand years, it is my intent to bring forward a perspective on this Creation that does not currently exist on this Planet; and in so doing, become reactivated in all aspects of the reclamation. As I do so, even all of the sweet Eye of Horus charms that exist throughout this world are being activated by my presence. So I am truly returning to this Planet, not just in dry text, but in actual presence. Elora: What would you like this Book to accomplish? Hope, joy, self healing, and the beginning of the accolades that will be heaped upon all of those that held to the Light. I want the unvarnished truth to be revealed so that full true healing can take place. This is not about putting band-aids on a tumor, but it is about restoration of true health. It is my wish to draw people to this material, and have it to be available as a teaching for many. Elora: Is there an urgency to get this material out quickly? Yes, there is. For with the advent of the Light Warriors and the turning of the tide, there will be people still laboring under beliefs that were fostered by the Dark - religious beliefs, philosophical beliefs, and self-image beliefs. As these are ripped away, they will need to have a foundation for understanding what is left. Therefore both the Teachings contained within this Book, as well as the Meditation Techniques I offer, will give people a way to not despair, to not shatter, to not cling to falsehoods that would drag them down. Elora: You have spoken often of the corrupting nature of the Forces of D arkness. How do we and the Readers of this book know that you are uncorrupted? How can we know that what you are speaking is the truth and that you are fully trustworthy? That is a most important question. And perhaps there is truly no way to know, outside of what resonates within your heart. It is my hope, my intent, and my dedication, to make this as pure a teaching as possible. Perhaps it is not possible in this world to have any teaching that is a hundred-percent pure. But I know that I have done the best that I could. And those working with me - Elora, Karen, Marjorie and Shakura, have all made great efforts to ensure that their integrity is intact at all times. Can I guarantee this? Do I think that this will resonate in the depths of the purest part of the Souls of the people who read it? I believe it will. Elora: In this Book, you speak of the Invasion of the Dark, and the Great Rescue that is upon us. Why has none of this information been available in any form until now? Until the recent advent of the Omniversal Energy, the Forces of the Dark were able to block access to the cellular memory within each individual. In doing so, access to the entire story was successfully suppressed. Elora: Heru, what would you wish to convey to Humanity at this time? Beloved Humans, I would have you know that many of you have come into this Universe with missions of Light and Healing and Hope. Because of the degraded nature of where this Planet and this whole Sector of Creation are, most of these plans have not been fulfilled. Therefore there is a deep frustration, anguish, pent up creativity, and so on, that is very heart wrenching to witness on my part. I know that for each of you to have had your highest dreams of giving Service subverted and perverted and stopped has to be painful beyond words. And first, I want to say that the most important thing that all of you have done collectively and individually is to hold enough of the Light, enough of the Truth, and enough Integrity so that this World and this Universe are salvageable and will be restored. That is a service above and beyond any of your individual dreams of Service, and this is the most important thing that you have done. Though some of you may at this point be heartsick, weary, soul fatigued, and damaged, you have been successful. You are the Great Heroes. There is no medal or commendation that could honor you enough. Please take this deep within your heart: that each and every one of you who has held onto even a speck of the Light, even a particle of integrity, have been victorious. The promise of restoration and restitution is at hand, and the time that you will actually be able to see this is very near. Some of what you will read in this Book is a frank and unveiled look at the past of Human-kind on this Planet. It may be somewhat disturbing for you to read this, but I want you to know that the only reason this stark truth is being allowed to come forward at this time is because of the certainty and the nearness of the dissolving of all that is of the Dark. It is truly very close to us now, and even upon us. And as part of the healing, it is necessary for us to take a good strong look at where we have come from, and how close we have come to annihilation. Much of this was withheld until now, for the purpose of not driving people into despair by the extent to which the Dark energy had corrupted this Creation. But now that we are at the turning of the tide, we can express to you simultaneously both the harsh danger we have all been in, and the rescue that is at hand. For you, Dear Reader, as you take into your heart the entirety of this picture, it will trigger very deep emotions for many, as it has for the people involved in bringing this Book forward. For there has been much damage and hardship and loss for so many of you. This will touch upon the very deepest buried memories that you carry within you - in your personal records, in your cellular DNA, in your bones. And it is stored in the very stones of this Earth. As you walk upon her battered soil, you cannot help but pick up the anguish that is everywhere around you, including the many battlegrounds - some of them physical, some etheric - that were never healed. As these emotions surface, what I would recommend to you first and foremost is not to despair. For the Great Light has returned. And it will help you to feel that Light within you, to feel it supporting you. Secondly, to practice self-forgiveness, for many have done acts that would never be in their true nature to do. Self-forgiveness is one of the first steps in healing. I would have you understand that in order for the healing to take place, it is necessary to some degree for each of you to look directly at how the Dark has impacted your life, how it has distorted who you are. This is not to jump into a quagmire and spend twenty-five years in therapy working through these realizations. What is being asked is for you to take a brief, concise, self-evaluating look at who you are in the moment and who you would be in an unfallen Creation. You have that blueprint within you, within every cell and every atom of your body. And you have the capacity to call that up and see it. It is important to look at the past because in order to release what is there, it is necessary for it to first come into conscious awareness. I would add that it is not necessary to relive every single cut and scrape and broken arm throughout the millennia. What is needed for each of you is to look at your current lives and the imbalances in them - the big stories, the big heartaches, the big frustrations - and to understand that they fit into the overall pattern that you have carried with you for many thousands or millions of years. Again, hold up your current imbalanced state, and compare it with who you would be in an unfallen world - that original blueprint that is so perfect, that is so beautiful, that is such an elegant and eloquent expression of Prime Creator. Your heritage, your lineage, and your destination all pertain to that perfection. That is who you are. And as you embrace it, what you need to process and to look at the imbalances will naturally well up from within you as you are ready to heal them. Imagine if you would that there are two blueprints we are looking at, the perfected one and the distorted one. And as you pull your distorted blueprint into alignment with the perfected one, piece by piece, issue by issue, and atom by atom, you will naturally process, in an ordered pattern, what needs to be done. Let me add to this that much help is here for you, and that you may call upon it freely. Elora: Why is it necessary for us to know that we had come close to annihilation? First, because it is the truth, and secondly, because it will give you a true understanding of the whole picture. Embedded in many beliefs and philosophies on this World is the concept that the Darkness is an illusion - that this is all Maya and a play of the Gods, that this is the Creator Gods having sport. And that illusion will persist unless a person truly understands the magnitude of this horrific invasion. As a result of living in a Fallen World, each one of you will have, to some extent, compromised pieces of truth, pieces of the Light, and pieces of yourself. Therefore, to hold onto that false belief is to still leave room for the Dark to act within you. And this is part of the necessary identification of the Dark, in order for it to be eradicated. Elora: Can you speak about the relevance of your Three Meditations to the rest of this material, and why they might be especially useful throughout this time? These Meditations are tools. They are not a path or a dogma or a religion to follow. They are merely offered to you as an assist at this time, to draw to you sufficient energy to proceed through the coming Earth Changes, and to give you many creative opportunities to process and manifest what will bring you back into alignment. The Third Meditation Technique is the heart of these Meditations, and it may be used in an infinite variety of ways as needed. It can be simply a place of refuge and peace, nurturing and healing, or it can be used to manifest deep and powerful healings and transformations. It can also serve as a room within which to dialogue with many of the Helpers who are here at this time. Elora: Heru, would you like to conclude this Introduction with anything further for our Readers? Beloved Reader, I call you forth to stand in front of myself and in front of Prime Creator; to hold forth your genuine heart and receive within it my blessing, my Love, my acknowledgement of your tribulations and your ultimate triumph. I add that the same is extended from Prime Creator. I fill your heart with a Golden Transforming Love that is the promise of full Redemption, and I ask that you receive this and let it grow. [ Elora:] We will conclude this Introduction with a few words from Durga/Sekhmet. Elora: Sekhmet, is there anything that you wish to convey to Humanity at this time? I would like to convey the absolute and complete joy in my heart for the advent and the Return of the Light, and the reclamation of all Beings large and small in this Universe. And I would also extend my hand to any who read this, that I make myself available for help and protection. For this next little while may be somewhat trying, and sometimes a comforting hand in a dark corridor can make all the difference. I extend my hand to all. I also bring to you the message of hope beyond hope. It is certainty; it is really beyond words to convey to you the incredible magnitude of the Change that is at hand and very near. For those of you who are reading this: ask for help in any time of doubt and despair, to be given a vision of how close indeed we are to the point at which Humans on this Earth will be able to perceive that in reality the Great Change is happening. And this Great Change is the blessed return of all Light. Chapter ONE: P ARADISE REMEMBERED This Chapter, like most, begins with an introduction by Elora. Elora: throughout my lifetime, I have continually worked to push back the veils obscuring my memory of other worlds and other existences. Once I had conquered the barriers to past life memory on this Earth, I found that I could go further back in time and could remember lives in other Star Systems and Galaxies. It was not until the Spring of 2002, however, that I began to recall what life was like outside this Universe. At that time I was contacted in spirit by a beautiful young man who seemed deeply familiar to me. He told me he was my Brother, from an existence in a Universe called Virqie and a Planet known as Atia; and that he and my other two Brothers had arrived in this Universe to take me home. Despite the fact that many scientists now recognize not only the possibility but the inevitability of multiple universes, I had a hard time believing all of this. Still, he was adamant that this was the truth of the matter. With the help of my Brothers, I began to remember what it had been like in Virqie. I have also been able to compare my memories with those of other friends who know that they come from Light Universes. While the details of their remembrances differ, their overall stories are very similar to mine. As I explored my memories of Virgie, I was stunned to realize that none of them contained pain or disharmony, even in the slightest way. Most of my past-life Earth memories are traumatic, partly because Earth life tends to be that way and partly because it is the unresolved traumas that we remember most. However, in accessing my memories of Virqie, I simply could not uncover any remembrances of sorrow, suffering, fear, illness, aging, or even of discontent. I realize how incredible this sounds, yet it is the truth of my recollection. I am not speaking of some remote Heavenly Realm here, or some between-life Paradise, but day to day life on a planet, a world just as concrete as Earth. A common reaction may be that this sounds boring. I have experienced a great deal of tedium in my lives on Earth, but I remember none in Virqie. Another reaction may be that it requires some amount of pain to appreciate joy. I also found this to be entirely untrue. In the Virqie Universe, all is beauty, harmony, and love. Evolution occurs through joy, not through suffering and struggle. The presence of God flows through that Universe like a great golden tide that is always at the full. While there is the free will to choose among many possibilities in life, the thought of doing anything negative, hurtful, or in any way outside of the flow of God's Will is simply not conceived of. Nor is there any fear of being harmed, either by other Humans or by Nature. Perfection reigns - and yet not a static, lifeless, and tedious perfection, but one which contains vibrancy, joy, and great creative challenges. On the Planet of Atia where I lived, Human relationships are considered a high art. Intimacy and love exist in exquisite delicacy and profound depth. Male/female relationships are practiced within a free-flowing yet committed structure which ensures that love and partnership are always available to all, as are times of aloneness and communion with Nature and God. Loneliness, abusive or unfulfilling relationships, and emotional pain of all types are unknown. The decision to bring forth a child is considered a sacred act, and each child is seen as a precious manifestation of the Divine. From my memories of Atia, I know that nature thrives there in resplendent beauty. Trees, flowers, grass, birds, sea creatures, and land animals live there just as they do here, yet in complete harmony and glorious vibrancy. All forms of life, from the tiniest to the greatest, are honored, and all are part of the great tapestry of life. The whole Universe evolves together. None are left behind, not the tiniest insect or flower. All beings are conscious, and all matter is filled with awareness; even the grains of sand shimmer with life as they lie on the shores of the jade-green ocean. It is as if the whole Universe is one great symphony. There is no illness, and death is simply a conscious releasing of one form to move on to a higher one. Fear, pain, anger, and grief do not exist in the normal course of evolution-although my family did grieve, and did fear for my safety, when I left to travel to this Universe and did not return as expected. As I accessed these memories, I knew that I had come to this Universe along with many others in an attempt to set things aright in this part of Creation. I also knew that life in Virqie was life as the Creator designed it to be. This book contains a great deal of information on what is commonly called the Fall, which will be discussed in detail in the next Chapter. Therefore, we have chosen to begin by taking a good look at the original design of Creation and the nature and purpose of our Creator. The Nature and Structure of our Creation Elora: Heru, let us begin this discussion by defining several terms. Please define the term 'Creation'. Heru: Creation is the manifested Will of Prime Creator. It is a vast system of Universes and is structured, as you have seen, in the form of a flower. Prime Creator, or the Godverse, is the Central Source around which the petals of Creation bloom. Elora: Please define 'Godverse'. Heru: The Godverse is the dwelling place of Prime Creator, although Prime Creator is not limited or encapsulated by the Godverse. It is the place from which all energy originates, and all of the Cosmic plasma that we Creator Gods use to create form originates in the Godverse. It is at the center of all Creation. Elora: Please define 'Universe'. Heru: A Universe is a structure contained within a membrane. It is created out of the Omniversal matter which is a free flowing, unformed, plasmic Cosmic material that Prime Creator has made. The Creator Gods take that plasma, create a membrane around it, and structure it. [ Elora: Are all the Universes set up as vast collections of Galaxies?] Most are, but some are quite tiny, as the one I told you about that Durga/Sekhmet and I created. There are microcosmic Universes as well. All of them have a certain similarity in structure in terms of the way matter and the elements are structured. There are considerable variations in size and theme, but the larger Universes you would recognize. [ Elora: Do they each have a Great Central Sun?] Yes. That is integral to holding them together, and actually is integral in holding the outer membrane together. Elora: Please define 'Prime Creator.' Heru: God is that which creates, sustains, and permeates all. Elora: Please tell us about the nature of Prime Creator; about who and what Creator is, from your own knowledge and experience. Heru: My eyes may see what yours do not, and that is the direct vision of the wondrous nature of our beloved Creator. This is a Being without beginning or end, formless and yet formed at the same time, wondrous to look upon, brighter than all of the Suns put together. And not only the brightness but the purity of that Light is incredible to behold. Out of Creator streams limitless Light, streams infinite energy, streams the very space upon which matter hangs. That Space is the thought projection of Prime Creator; and so Creator, being infinite, has created Infinite Space. Within that Infinite Space, Prime Creator has made many Creations, of which this System of Universes is but one. And within the Space of this Creation are hung, like the petals of a jeweled lotus, Universe after Universe after Universe, suspended in this Infinite Space and hung with sustaining lines of energy. Then within each Universe, as you know, many are the Worlds and Galaxies. So varied is this Creation that I would compare it to one of your deliciously beautiful floribunda roses, where the bushes cascade blossom after blossom after blossom, each one so exquisite in its patterning and its fragrance and its individuality. Creator has imbued, within every atom and every Universe, its own consciousness, its own connectedness to itself. It is almost a holographic mirror that you could look into. You could look into any part of this Creation and know that Creator is there-present, seeing you look, looking through your eyes, looking at Creation, and mirroring back and forth-and offering you this kaleidoscopic experience that is never ending. Elora: Please say more about the structure of this Creation. Heru: The basic structure of Creation, from the tiniest particle to the alignment of the Universes, is all built upon the Sacred Geometric Principles that are taught in some of your esoteric circles. Much has been written on Sacred Geometry, and it would benefit the Reader to at least take a look at some of what has been written - to understand the Divine nature of the Human body in its proportions, and how that is a reflection of Prime Creator's infinite loving wisdom. The older Universes, closer to the Center of Creation, are more basic and simple in their expression of the Sacred Geometric Principles. As one travels outward into the newer Universes, each arm of the spiral, so to speak, would show Universes more and more complex and diverse in nature. The Universe you are now living in is towards the outer edge and has a greater degree of complexity. This process is designed to be a never-ending spiral, to continue forever with an increasing complexity and increasing beauty. And there is designed to be communication between the Universes - Ambassadors, educational exchanges, all of that - so that there might be pleasure taken in the experience of each new facet as it is created, each new color that is discovered, each new form that can be created, 'fractalling-out' from the original forms into infinite variation. And in this there is no end to what can be created and discovered. Elora: I have noticed that forms repeat themselves within this Creation, in the microcosm and the macrocosm. For example, the Great Central Sun of this Universe has the form of a lotus, and the whole Creation itself looks like a flower. Heru: That is based on the Sacred Geometries which were set in motion with the first burst of Creation. The plasma that the Creator Gods use to create with has, imbedded within it, certain structures and formats with which to work. [ Elora: So the entire Creation, in fact, is in the form of a lotus?] Yes. [The Vedanta scriptures describe this; they describe the manifest Creation as a Lotus floating in the Void.] Yes, and oftentimes they would often show Gods, which would be Creator Gods, sitting on a lotus as well. Elora: Why did Creator desire to make this Creation? Heru: To have a worthy “dance partner”; one that could receive fully the boundless love that Creator has, and one that was - as much as is possible - able to reflect all of the facets and gifts that Prime Creator has. Elora: What is the overriding theme or intention of this Creation? Heru: Beauty, harmony, rhythm, creativity, expansiveness, joy. When you look in this world at the great beauty and diversity of Nature, and you look at the nature of a fractal, and how incredibly gorgeous it is as it expands in its complexity, you will get a small taste of what Creator is trying to express. Elora: What was the Creator's intention for all Beings, large and small, who would live within this Creation? Heru: The highest wish of Prime Creator is that each individual life form or aspect of Creation would blossom fully outward in its expression to the pinnacle of its individual essence. And simultaneously, that it would have the awareness to look back at Source to know who it is and where it came from. The intention is to have a simultaneous full expression of Individuation, and full encompassing of Union with the Creator at the same time. Creation is designed so that anyone from a tiny insect to a Galaxy would have that ability. Elora: Please discuss the communication and oneness between all Beings in an Unfallen Creation. For example, if I want to communicate with someone in another Universe, can I do that easily? It is a matter of thinking and it is done. [ Elora: So there is no sense of separation.] There is not. [ Elora: The whole Creation is a living organism, and all the cells can communicate with each other?] Yes, and also there is the ability to be in more than one place at one time. This is described in quantum physics. It is basically a matter of focusing on where you would desire to be, and you would be there. Elora: Please discuss the connection and communion with God that is present for all Beings in the Light Universes. Heru: There is no concept of there not being communication, of there not being constant contact. It is in the air that everyone breathes. It is everywhere. It is the medium that everyone and everything lives in. Elora: Is there pain in the Light Universes? Heru: There is very little, and what there is would be the result of a connection between one of the Light Universes and one of the Fallen Universes. Elora: What is Nature like in the Unfallen Universes? Heru: If any of our Readers have visited areas of pristine wilderness and observed the beauty and the magnificence there, it would be a magnitude of perhaps a hundred times more perfect. Imagine, if you would, one of those great breaking waves upon the Hawaiian shore, those that the surfers ride; and you see the beauty of the dynamic that creates such perfection of water falling upon itself. Then imagine that wave a hundred times more perfect. I can't put words to it; I can only tell you that even with the forms here that are beautiful, it is better than that by so much. Elora: Are there certain archetypal animals and plants that we would find in most of the Universes? Would we recognize cats and horses, roses and oak trees? You would recognize many similar forms and also many variations. For example, there are variations in color between different worlds. There are places where the photosynthesis happens almost like a red and green simultaneously. On this Planet you see some plants with red leaves, but there are other places where that color predominates. If you look at the red Japanese maples, you would see forests on those worlds where there are varieties of trees with different variations of that deep red - with some green, but the primary color being red. This occurs primarily on Planets that would have a hotter blue Star, and a different spectrum of light. Elora: Please talk about the relationship between Humans and Nature in the Light Universes. In terms of the relationship with Nature, there is no concept of exploitation, ownership, or stewardship, as is taught in some of your scriptures. For to walk upon the earth is to walk upon the body of God. To swim in the water is to swim through the body of God. And to breathe, and to eat, and to drink, are to ingest the Creator within the vehicle of the created, and there is no separation. Again there is that complete individuation of the Human combined with a total connectedness to God and Nature. They are not seen as separate. Elora: Is there technology and mechanization in the Light Universes? Heru: You would not be able to separate Nature from technology. They are seamlessly wedded in harmony. Elora: Is there predation among animals in the Light Universes? Heru: It is somewhat difficult to describe. It is a harmony and a play which is acted out between predator and prey, where permission is asked and permission is given. Once the permission is given, it is a service of the prey to be consumed by the predator. It would be much more akin to the river merging with the ocean, where the prey would consider its life form to flow into that of the predator. And it is a harmonious act. It is not gross the way it is on this Planet. [ Elora: Is there pain?] No. I would also say that the Human type life forms on those Planets are all vegetarian. The animals which on this Planet are omnivores, such as those in the canine family, would be vegetarian in an Unfallen Universe. It would be only the felines, and a few of the fish, and a few of the birds, who would be predators. In the Light Universes predators are in a very small minority, but they serve a function. There are also some carrion animals and birds as well, but less so than here. [ Elora: In our world, when a cat catches a mouse, she plays with it in a very' cruel way. Is this a distorted reflection of the harmonious playfulness that would occur between predator and prey in a Light Universe?] Yes. Elora: Why are Humans called the Crown of Creation? Heru: They have the greatest autonomy and individuation inherent in their character, and the greatest ability to reflect Prime Creator to each other and back to Prime Creator. More than just about any other creature, Humans really get to enjoy the fullness of the beauty of Creation. Having a high metabolism and mobility gives Humans the ability to explore, learn, enjoy, absorb, and reflect, to the fullest extent. Chapter TWO: THE FALL Part 1 - The Reality of The Darkness Elora: According to Heru, and according to the memories of those of us who can remember back to the times before we entered this Universe, the original Creation was without stain, without suffering, without even disharmony. If all this is true, then why are we, in this part of Creation, experiencing life in a way which bears only a small resemblance to that original state of perfection? And what is the condition of this Universe as a whole? Are the problems which plague our Planet the exception or the rule? I personally found that a part of my spiritual maturation was a series of shocks and disillusionments about the nature of things in our world and even beyond our Planet. These have not been pleasant, but the willingness to come face to face with reality has been an essential aspect of growing up for me. Humans who are able to acknowledge the truth of existence on our Planet have had to acknowledge the fact that all of our major institutions (government, medicine, finance, religion, etc.) are riddled with corruption, and exist more for the purposes of power and control than for the service of Humanity. As I expanded the horizons of my knowledge and experience, I found that Earth was not the only place where evil existed. I spent a number of years reading every available book on the extraterrestrial abduction phenomenon, and accessed my own memory of a frightening encounter with the Greys early in life. (The Greys are a group of extraterrestrials who are reported to be responsible for the majority of the ET abductions.) Some years later, I teamed with a psychic friend to do extensive work in an attempt to reclaim some of the dark fourth dimensional Reptilian races. In the course of this work-both through my own experiences and through further study and cross-referencing with others who had authentically experienced these realms - I was forced to realize that our galaxy is filled with war and strife. Peaceful planets exist, but only because they are protected in one way or another. Past life memories also surfaced of personal experiences with warring and destruction in other star systems and galaxies. An even greater shock occurred when I discovered that negativity is not confined to the lower dimensions. As I continued to explore and expand my horizons, I found that Dark Beings and energies exist even in higher dimensions. I remembered being attacked and almost destroyed as a Being at a time when I lived on the Sixth Dimension. Heru and Sananda told us that pretty much all of the ruling Councils in our Universe - whether they be planetary, galactic, or even broader in spectrum - were compromised to some degree. We also discovered Dark grids on the Fourth, Sixth, and Eleventh Dimensions, which were covering large areas of our Universe. When we asked Heru if darkness (negativity) was more prevalent in the lower dimensions he replied, 'No. It is as above, so below.' It is comforting to think that Earth is a primitive schoolhouse or a brutal but effective boot camp, a tiny and troubled speck floating in the cosmic oceans of love and light. Heru states that this is not the case. If our Universe were a place of peace, truth, and joy, he asked us rhetorically, would the situation on Earth have been allowed to persist - the injustice, the enslavement of so much of Humanity, the prevalence of suffering? The truth, according to Heru and the other masters we have spoken with, is that we live in a Fallen World which exists within a Fallen Universe. Part 2 - The Fallen state What does it mean to exist in a Fallen state? In this section, I will briefly touch on some of the ways that this reality has impacted the existence of Humans and all beings in our world and beyond. I do not mean in any way to say that our Planet is entirely negative or that life here is only misery, for that is certainly not the case. Earth is renowned throughout our Universe for its exceptional beauty and diversity, and even under great duress the Human spirit can be indomitable. Every person who holds to some degree of Truth, of Love and of Light, creates a small bit of Heaven - and it is all of these together which make our world a place of great hope and unexpected miracles. With that preface, I will proceed. For Humanity, the Fallen state means that life is short and, in most cases, fraught with difficulty. The struggle for survival dominates the Human experience, and a high proportion of Humanity lives in grinding poverty, barely maintaining the necessities of life. Rather than spending our lives in the delight of creativity, in the joy of spiritual growth and unfoldment, most of our time and energy goes into obtaining food and shelter. Relationships bring love and connection but also deep disappointment and heartache, and many people are alone, abused, or emotionally adrift and lost. True fulfillment is rare and usually fleeting. The hearts of Humanity are filled with sorrow, even those of us who are the most fortunate. We exist in a state of separation from God and from Life itself. The Fallen state of Humanity means that our DNA has been decimated, to use Heru's word, and that we experience illness, aging, suffering, and death. The Fallen state of our Planet means that all of our institutions are corrupt, and that no matter how hard we try to change or replace them, corruption again ensues. The Fallen state of our world means that we live behind massive, though unseen frequency fences or energetic barriers which keep the light of the Creator from us. It means that countries are unable to live in peace with one another and that despite all the efforts of all the peacekeepers throughout history, we still fight and kill one another - and always the innocent suffer. It means that with each advance, there has been an equal or greater decline. For example, as technology has developed it has freed us from the plow on the one hand and chained us to the computer on the other, and has also caused the poisoning and devastation of our beautiful planet. The Fallen state of Nature means that even in this least contaminated part of our reality, predation, parasitism, and competition are the rule. The strong devour the weak. Even in the plant kingdom, vines strangle trees and roses grow thorns for protection. The Fallen state of our Universe means that the very atomic structures, the building blocks of matter, have been so distorted that matter itself is corrupted. As Heru says, 'The very stones of Earth cry out.' Matter, instead of existing in a pure and perfect state, continually falls into entropy. We can still perceive something of the original Divine order of things as we study the Cosmos. Yet we see chaos even there, as galaxies collide and stars consume one another. Before we plunge into the details of the fall, I would like to offer some of Heru's words and ask you to hold them in your consciousness as you read the next section. Elora: I am so glad that I have even a few memories of life before the Fall. Heru: It is very helpful, even for those who do not have direct memory, to call upon their Soul or their Monad [Higher Self] to hold up for them that image of themselves in an Unfallen state. When each of you sees your original template, and understands that you did not cause your Fall, that you are not to blame for this Fall, you will have taken a huge first step in reclaiming your Divine nature. And when each one of you begins that path - the path of separating what is not you, what is the Fallen, from who you truly are - it is a path of glory that I cannot put into words for you. There is so much wondrous joy that awaits you in this discovery. For each one of you, each and every individual on this Planet, has descended from the very highest lineage. You were created by Creator Gods of the highest order, and as such Royalty, the likes of which you cannot imagine, flows in your blood, in your bones, in your DNA. It is your heritage, it is your destiny, and it is time to reclaim this. Part 3 - The History of the Fall Elora: Heru, if Prime Creator made and designed this Creation to be one of joy, harmony, and perfection, what happened? Heru: Approximately 1.3 billion years ago in your time, there was an invasion which occurred in a universe near this one - an invasion of darkness. What we will call darkness, for the purpose of these discussions, is a non-souled, non-living substance, antithetical in structure to the basic life inherent in every atom of Creation. It is not known where it comes from, or who or what designed it. It has the tendency to permeate anything that it touches, though some Beings have been able to resist it, at least in maintaining the purity of their spirit. The Universes had never experienced conflict prior to this event, and therefore the membranes around them were only designed as containment of form and not as a protective barrier. I would liken this invasion to the effect of the bite of a poisonous spider or snake on the Human body. The original Universe which was affected then sickened, and essentially died in a very short period of time, almost immediately. Of the Beings living in it, those who could do so fled into the neighboring Universes, unknowingly bringing contamination with them. It was at that time that a small assemblage of Beings was sent to help. This group was not the one to which the Light Workers on Earth belong; this was prior to that time. The structure of the one dead Universe was collapsed and melted back into the All, with great sadness and solemn ceremony. Those who had escaped seemed at that point largely unscathed. But from that time forward, the surrounding Universes began to experience some disharmony. And this began to grow and magnify, and spread rapidly, as there is much commerce between universes. This spread continued and did not seem overly alarming, just concerning. When this reached some several thousand universes, it was decided that a concerted effort would be made to deal with the situation. Therefore a large group of Beings assembled, and that is most generally the group that the Readers here belong to - the group which we call the Light Workers. They arrived, each of them with their specialty and their mission, and began to do their work. If you were to examine the state of those affected Universes at that time, as compared to the present, they would look far more light and harmonious than your current Universe does. It was as though everything was perhaps one degree off where it should be. It was small, it was subtle, it was not dramatic. There was not a great deal of suffering, there were no wars, there was just a level of disharmony, a small amount of disease, and a sense that everything was slightly off. Things were no longer perfect. Meanwhile the insidious nature of this poison, or this Darkness, was that it penetrated deeper into the infected Beings and deeper into the systems in these Universes. The worst part about this poison is that, unbeknownst to the host, it would usurp its free will in a very subtle way and begin to redirect its life. At this time there was a concentration of many of the great and mighty Beings who were contaminated and infected by darkness, such as the Creator Gods, Angels, Archangels, and Elohim. It is the fall of these elevated Beings which, in your mythology, later came to be known as the Lucifer Rebellion. Again, unbeknownst to these Beings, their free will had been usurped and they were being guided into paths that would not normally have been their choice. The reason that there were many Great and Mighty who fell was two-fold. One was that the infected Creator Gods and the Angelic Beings who were in that original Universe were the ones who managed to escape. They were more mobile than a cat or a bird, for example, in terms of traversing great space and time. They then met with their equals to work on the problem, and their equals and counterparts then too became infected. Therefore, because of the nature of those who escaped the original Universe and who dealt with the melting down of that Universe, they unknowingly ended up contaminating a large number of very High-level Beings. Each of these Beings would have a job, so to speak. Wherever they were working, and whatever they were assigned to when they returned, would then also be corrupted. Therefore Fallen Creator Gods would create Fallen Universes. These were much darker than your Universe is currently and are not salvageable; they are not structured on the basic Sacred Geometric Principles that your Universe is structured on. There was also a point in time, just prior to the erection of the Frequency Fence, when these Creator Gods decided that they would create in their own way and in their own manner. In their delusion, they declared this a superior Creation to that of Prime Creator. Elora: Did the contamination then spread from the highest Dimensions down? As I stated earlier, when the original invaded Universe died and was melted down, those highest Beings out of that Universe are the ones who escaped. Therefore this contamination happened from the highest Orders, and actually spread downward through the Dimensions. In the Fallen Universes, darkness exists downwards from the Eleventh Dimension. Part 4 - The Fall of our own Universe Heru states that about six percent of the Universes in this Creation are Dark. About two percent are wholly Dark, for they were created by the Fallen Creator Gods. The other four percent were created Light and were subsequently invaded. Our own Universe, which was originally a place of 'symphonic loveliness', in Heru's words, is one of these. Elora: Heru, we would like to discuss the Fall of the Universe that we live in. First, how many Universes are there, and what percent are Dark or compromised? Heru: The Universes in this Creation number in the tens of thousands. Darkness is only in the last outer layers of the Universes. Perhaps less than two percent are wholly Dark, and maybe an additional four percent are embattled. Elora: Then let us look for a moment at the creation of this Universe. We know that universes are made by Creator Gods such as yourself; and that in order to create the large universes they work in groups. Who created our Universe? Several years ago we were told, by a source outside thisUuniverse, that its creator was called Godin. Who is Godin? Heru: The spelling of this name is G-O-D-I-N-J, and the 'j' is almost silent. Godinj is actually not one person. It is the collective signature of the dozen or so Creator Gods who came together to do this. That signature, Godinj, is written in the atomic structure of all matter in the Universe, and that is why it carries power. Elora: We notice the similarity between this name and our word 'God'. Heru: Yes, and I believe if there were scholars who could get this name into the Hebrew alphabet, they would find some good information and make theories around it. Elora: Please explain exactly what Godinj is. Heru: Godinj is a group of Creator Gods who wove the membrane, creating the perimeters of this Uuniverse around the great plasma given to them by Prime Creator. They themselves form, in essence, the nucleus of that great cell [i.e. The Universe]. And spinning out from them are all of the forms of this Universe, large to small. [ Elora: Were you and Durga/Sekhmet part of the original collective of Godinj?] No, we were more in the role of advisors, and we chose the beings that make up Godinj. Elora: Please describe the Fall of our Universe. Heru: Your mythologies have many descriptions of the Fall, the most famous in the West of course being Adam and Eve, and the Apple and the Snake. If we use this as a framework, we would say that the Apple is the body of contamination and contaminated knowledge, the knowledge of duality. We would say that the Snake was the carrier, the contaminated Creator Gods and Angels and Archangels. And Adam and Eve would represent the original blueprint of Humanity as well as that of this Creation and this Universe. When this poisoned fruit was consumed, not only did the blueprint of Humanity fall and become corrupted, but the life forms and worlds also fell. So both the Adamic and Edenic blueprints for this entire Universe fell. There was, of course, resistance. The Creator Gods Godinj - those who are instrumental in creating and holding this Universe in form - were divided. Some fell, and some were then imprisoned by the ones that fell, giving the Fallen essentially free rein. There were some very, very destructive battles in this Universe. An uneasy truce was then struck, with the Dark dominating the Light, but the Light holding enough mass and power to prevent the entire Universe from falling. Many compromises were made, not for the better, but for the purposes of stalling the Dark until rescue could be effected. And that is pretty much where things have stood up until now. Elora: Did the Fall of our Universe occur fairly early on in terms of the invasion, or relatively late in the game, so to speak? Heru: Early on. It occurred about 900 million years ago, in your time. [ Elora: What percent Dark is our Universe at this time?] It is about 75% Dark. Elora: Going back to the information we originally received, we were told that Godinj made a terrible error in the creation of this Universe, and that in the process he himself became split into two parts, one Light and one Dark. Is there any truth to this? Heru: This is an interpretation of what happened. What occurred was that this Uuniverse was created close to perfect. It had some slightly flawed blueprints, which have occurred in the outer or newer Uuniverses, but everything was functioning relatively well here. When this attack happened, the Dark Forces used those flaws to create a tremendous fall and rending. When that occurred, it split the overlighting Council of Creator Gods who created this Universe, so there was a rending within that group. Two of these Creator Gods fell, and this again relates to what you call the Lucifer myth. And those who fell are the ones who have created the completely Dark Universes. Elora: Please explain the slight flaws in the replication of blueprints in the Universes, and how the Dark used this. Heru: The basic structures of all life, including DNA and atomic structures, were created essentially the same throughout this Creation. In the process of creating more and more universes, the outer petals on the flower of Creation contained a few minute distortions in DNA and also in atomic structure. This happened as the replications of these basic structures and blueprints were repeated countless times. However, these minuscule flaws were not seen until the Dark invaded. The Dark then used this as an opening and magnified and further distorted these imperfections. In the Unfallen outer Universes, this has not been much of a problem and is being corrected with ease. Elora: Did this damage to the DNA only affect life forms on the lower Dimensions? DNA is a multi-dimensional structure which has its roots in the Twelfth Dimension and passes through all of the Dimensions into the Third; and the structures of life are then built upon it. Therefore truly each cell of your body is a gateway to the higher Dimensions. When the Creator Gods and other High Beings fell, the DNA became damaged and distorted. The Godinj Collective, for example, is the support for every cell of life in this particular Universe. When it fell, every cell within this Universe was affected. Therefore the corruption begins at the top and descends down into each cell of Creation, distorting all throughout the entire process. And not only the cells are affected, but the same applies to the atomic structure. From the very top, the atomic structure was distorted. An effect of this distortion is the fact that in a Fallen Universe all matter is subject to entropy [ changes through its infection]. This is one of the Laws of Physics in your world. In an Unfallen Universe, this is not the case. Part 5 - The Fallen Experience Elora: As we continue with information about the Fall, I would like to remind our Readers that this information is only being given out now because of the fact that rescue is at hand. As Heru stated in the Introduction to this book: 'I want you to know that the only reason this stark truth is being allowed to come forward at this time is because of the certainty and the nearness of the dissolving of all that is Dark. It is truly very close to us now, and even upon us. ' Later Chapters will focus on the coming Restoration and Reclamation of Earth and our Universe. Elora: I would like to understand the many ways the Forces of Darkness have distorted life here and made certain things impossible, and other things of a destructive or unhappy nature the norm. Like children raised in highly dysfunctional or abusive families who have no idea that their experience is wrong and 'abnormal', even perhaps criminal, I think we on this Planet have no idea of the extent of abnormality in our own life experience. How does all of this relate to the fall? Heru: This is really a vast question, but let me first state that none of these conditions exist in an Unfallen Universe or world. There are as many pathways of disease and disharmony as there are illnesses of body, mind, and society. There are countless factors, and I could list them all. Let us start, however, with the fundamental premise that what society has defined as Human nature - the aggressive desire for conquest, the desire for dominance, greed, selfishness, cruelty - all of these things are not normal and are the result of the Fall. Then when you look at how this so-called Human nature has expressed itself in culture, in society, and in the institutions that govern this world, you have an idea of the complexity of what needs to be reformed in every system and on every level. Be assured that all of this will change, and very rapidly, as the Restoration of your Planet and your Universe proceed. And as Humans are restored to their original nature, their hearts and minds will again express the divine blueprint and perfect harmony that was intended by Creator. Elora: Are there some sectors of the population, such as political Leaders, Darker than others? Those who are the most aggressive in acquiring and maintaining power and control over others are in general quite a bit Darker, and are also oftentimes used as vehicles for some of the Fallen Beings to carry out their agendas. Elora: What percentage of the Human race at this time is not corrupted by some degree of Darkness? Heru: All Humans are affected by Darkness to some degree. Because it exists on the atomic level, there is really no way to escape it. However, we have noted that the souls of some Beings have been able to resist this influence. More than half of the people on this Planet, perhaps as high as 60% of the Humans on this Earth, are in a state where their soul, their spirit, their intention in life, is to manifest Light. And that is truly a miracle. Things look so bad, and the negative structures are so strongly in place; yet the weakness in the Plan of the Dark is that they have not been able to corrupt the Human spirit in so many. [ Elora: I often think of the humble people of Earth, many of them very poor, many living in underprivileged countries, yet who maintain their purity of spirit and dedication to God.] Yes, and many of them are much happier than the privileged. Elora: What percent Dark is Earth at this time? Despite the fact that over half of Humanity still holds to the Light, the Darkness tends to be in control here because of all the systems that are in place. Therefore I would have to say that Earth is, at this time, about 75 to 80% Dark. Elora: What, if any, is the difference in the personal experience of life between those infiltrated by Darkness and those not? Heru: Imagine, if you would, two tuning forks. One of them might be covered with whatever junk that would prevent it from sounding, but the tuning fork itself is still in perfect pitch. At any time that it is unwrapped and struck, it will resonate. Because of that it holds at its core that true resonance, even though it is not sounding. Then imagine a second tuning fork, where the tines have been twisted and distorted. Whether it is wrapped or not wrapped, whether it is struck or unstruck, it always carries that distortion at its core. And that is not to say that this is uncorrectable. Elora: Is life easier for those Humans who are Fallen, who are not resisting the Dark? Heru: That is perhaps too broad a question. In some cases yes, in that they would receive a great deal of support in acting the nefarious schemes of the Dark. You could say the wheels are greased and their ambitions are oftentimes not thwarted, because they are in essence Sons of the Ruling Body, whether that is literally or in spirit. Why did not the Creator act to drive Darkness out of the Creation? Heru: This Creation is a creation of Love and Light, of beauty, of vast amounts of diversity. And as I said earlier, it is an expression of something beyond words, that indescribable place which the Creator expressed from. In this expression there was no thought of destructive or negative forces. These were not even conceived of as being a possibility. Therefore this Creation was created without weapons, without defenses. You will see in the Universes which are not Fallen, for example, that the whole concept of predation. Unicron is a prodigiously large robot whose scale reaches planetary proportions, and he is also able to transform into a mechanical. Unicron's origin has expanded over the years from simply being a large robot to being a god of chaos who devours realities. He often employs the help of in his work, and in some stories is considered part of the origin of the Decepticon forces. This section does not any. Unsourced material may be challenged and. (August 2015) () According to the Transformers lore, before the dawn of time, Order and Chaos exist within an extra-dimensional entity known as The One. To explore the fledgling universe, he creates the astral being known as Unicron, and then subdivides him, creating his twin,. Both brothers are multiversal singularities, unique in all realities, but whereas Unicron can only exist in one universe at a time, moving freely between them at will, Primus exists simultaneously in all realities at once. Continuing the fictional origins, as Unicron and Primus venture through the cosmos, it becomes apparent to Primus that Unicron is nothing but a purely corrupt being, and so confronts the threat his sibling poses. In combat, Primus is no match for Unicron; in cunning, he proves himself to be his brother's superior when he shifts their battle to the astral plane, and then back to the physical world, sacrificing most of his strength to manifest their essences within metallic planetoids and leaving them both trapped in the planet prison. Primus hopes to contain the evil force forever. Unfortunately, over time, Unicron learns to physically shape his prison into a giant metallic planet, and Primus emulates his brother. The Primus planet becomes the mechanical world of. When Unicron learns to transform his planetary form even further, into a gigantic robot form, Primus adapts the idea, and creates, a group of robotic beings that possessed the ability to change shape. The war between Unicron and Primus comes to its seeming end during a climactic battle in which one of the Thirteen, Megatronus Prime, who is afterwards known as, betrays Primus and becomes an acolyte of Unicron. The battle ends when the Fallen and Unicron are sucked into a and disappear. With Unicron gone, Primus enters an eons-long slumber, preventing Unicron from detecting him through the mental link the brothers share. Later retconning [ ]. Further information: The Primus/Unicron backstory has evolved and been rewritten a number of times since it originated in the series. The version recounted above is the current iteration, which has slowly solidified across a wide swath of media (beginning around the time of ). Before the Primus/Unicron mythos reached its present form, it went through several distinct versions in the Marvel Generation 1 comics and elsewhere. Retellings [ ] The first time the Primus/Unicron backstory appears is in the UK comic continuity, in the story 'The Legacy of Unicron!' , when Unicron recounts it to. Per Unicron's telling of events, he was a primal force of evil at the dawn of the universe, who led a legion of Dark Gods against his mortal foe, Primus, Lord of the Light Gods. Events proceed to play out basically as described above, though the role of the Light and Dark Gods diminishes with each subsequent retelling of the story, until the current version, in which Primus and Unicron are alone, and have a unique origin. The story is told a second time in the United States book [ ] by the Keeper, an ancient mechanoid who guarded Primus's head at the center of Cybertron. This telling is effectively the same as the UK story, but mentions that the battle of Primus and Unicron was towards the end of the era of gods, that Primus and Unicron were the last of their respective pantheons, and Primus has to defeat Unicron before he can take his place with the other gods in the '. The story is told a third time in the United States Marvel series by Primus, when he gathers all his children together to prepare for Unicron's coming. In this telling, Unicron predates the, and destroyed the previous universe. He slept peacefully, alone in the of un-creation that remained, until fragments of the old universe that he had overlooked reacted, causing the Big Bang and birthing the current universe. The 'sentient core' of this new universe recognizes the threat that Unicron poses, and so creates Primus to counter his evil and be guardian of the new creation. The first modern retelling of the origins of Primus and Unicron comes from a set of trading cards released. The backstory printed on Unicron's card introduces the concept of two brothers created to explore the new universe by an extra-dimensional entity named the '. This is subsequently expanded on and combined with aspects of the various Marvel Comics stories in, published by Dorling Kindersley and written by, who had written all three prior tellings. Here, the entity Fleer had called the 'Allspark' is redubbed 'The One', and the modern iteration of the myth detailed above is firmly established, and forms the backbone of subsequent fiction such as and ' comics. Across the Multiverse [ ] Although many of the official television and comics appearance of Unicron appear to present separate and distinct incarnations of the character, some writers have presented an interpretation of the sources that tie all the versions of Unicron together into a single continuity. Likewise, Primus is a 'multiversal singularity', but while Unicron is limited in this ability, and can only exist in one reality at a time, travelling between them, Primus co-exists in all realities simultaneously. This concept began with the release of a series of Transformers: Armada trading cards. The biography printed on Unicron's card presents him as one of two heralds created by the to explore the newly birthed universe. Inspired by his Marvel Comics origin, the other herald is, and the brothers set about this task, until they come upon a region of space teeming with pure Energon. Unicron wants the power for himself, and cuts Primus down before he can report it to the Allspark, casting his brother's body into the orbit of a nearby star. Unicron goes on to become the engine of destruction that menaces the universe. The publication of Transformers: The Ultimate Guide by cemented this notion. Writer Simon Furman incorporated the various aspects of the Dreamwave comics story, some elements of the Fleer storyline, and his original Marvel Comics origin to create what is now essentially the 'definitive' origin for Unicron. [ ] In this version of events, Unicron and Primus are again twin heralds, giant metal planetoids created by the 'One', who are sent to explore the universe. Unicron is an imperfect being and turns to evil, adapting his form to transform into a giant robot. To battle him, The One gives Primus this power as well, but Primus opts to remain in planet mode. He passes the transforming abilities on to thirteen robots he creates, the first Transformers. One of the thirteen turns on Primus and sides with Unicron, and the war culminates in a battle that sees Unicron and this traitor, the ', sucked through a black hole into another universe. This new origin is part of the G1 timeline laid down by the Ultimate Guide, which is apparently being taken as the 'official' G1 timeline for future projects that require it. [ ] This means there is only one Unicron who travels from universe to universe across all the assorted Transformers continuities. This interpretation of the character is evidenced by the parallel universe spanning toyline and convention-exclusive comic books — in which the singular Unicron captured Transformers from various alternate realities and pitted them against each other, feeding off the energies released — and the Transformers: Cybertron comic strip in the Transformers Collectors' Club fan magazine, which depicts Unicron's actions in the various realities in a chronological order and claims that Cybertron is the stable heart of the Multiverse. Physical dimensions [ ] Unicron's size is never specified in any canon materials, aside from the vague term 'planet size'. In The Transformers: The Movie, Unicron's height appears to be anywhere from several kilometers (as when handling ) to several hundred kilometers (as when attacking and destroying Lithone and Cybertron's moons, and attacking ). A planet-mode diameter of 1,000 km (620 mi) has been suggested and robot-mode dimensions can follow from that estimate, provided that there is no change in size (compression or expansion) common among so many Transformers. One scene in the movie shows driving out of one of Unicron's eyes, just small enough to fit through them, though in another scene the ship arrived in is tiny compared with the eye. Unicron is also small enough to stand on Cybertron's surface. In season 3, it is shown that the eyes from and (both city-sized Transformers) are the perfect size to use as replacement parts when Unicron orders the ghost of to steal them. However, later in the episode when Trypticon moves Unicron's head, the head is larger than Trypticon's entire body. (Note: However, the eyes could be only small components for his Optic Sensors to be reformed and/ or completed.) In the storyline 'The Ultimate Doom', Cybertron appears to be smaller than Earth's own moon (and by extension, this would indicate Lithone would be too small to be a planet), making Unicron's dimensions in the cartoon harder to define. The comic version of Unicron may be far larger. In the first issue of Transformers comic, Cybertron is said to be around the size of (which has a diameter of roughly 120,000 km (75,000 mi) at the ). As Unicron's planet mode is seen to be about a quarter the size of Cybertron in the comics, this suggests a diameter of 30,000+ km. The Dreamwave equivalent of Unicron may be the same size, as the Cybertron of the Dreamwave universe is said to be the size of Saturn. In the Transformers: Cybertron comics, the tank version of Unicron is only the same size as an average Transformer, and is shorter than the Autobots and, whom he fought. The Transformers Prime iteration of Unicron depicts his physical manifestation as the Earth itself, with his consciousness held within the core, making him a planet with sustainable life, though it has not been seen if Unicron wishes to consume other planets like his other incarnations. Animated series [ ] The Transformers [ ]. This section does not any. Unsourced material may be challenged and. (May 2011) () The character Unicron first appears in the opening scene of 1986's, immediately making clear his goal by consuming the small world of. Subsequently, when the Decepticons,,, and the are set adrift in space and left to die following a furious battle with the, Unicron appears before them and offers Megatron a deal: in exchange for a new body, and new troops, Megatron will destroy the, the only thing that can stand in Unicron's way. Thus, Unicron rebuilds Megatron into a new and more powerful body, and rechristens him to. He then uses the battered bodies of the other Decepticons and creates, the tracker, from Thundercracker and his huntsmen, the, from and., the warrior is then created, from and Skywarp (two Cyclonus' are shown, which is an animation error, as later throughout the movie and the TV series Cyclonus is only one character). After that, Unicron also gives Galvatron a vessel, and Galvatron begins to carry out his assigned task, although he is loath to do so. When Galvatron shows any signs of opposition to Unicron's will, Unicron inflicts agonizing torture in his mind to coerce him into obedience. Following Unicron's consumption of 's two moons, Galvatron obtains the Matrix from, believing he can use it to bring Unicron under his control. Attempting to open the Matrix to intimidate Unicron, Galvatron only prompts his transformation into robot mode, and is swallowed by the planet-eater. Unicron lays waste to Cybertron, halted briefly when the young Autobot rookie,, crashes a spacecraft through his eye. Finding Hot Rod inside Unicron's body, Galvatron suggests an alliance against their common enemy. However, Unicron inflicts his mental torture upon Galvatron, forcing him to fight Hot Rod. Hot Rod takes the Matrix from Galvatron during the battle, and becomes. Rodimus throws Galvatron into space, freeing him from Unicron's mind-control. Rodimus opens the Matrix within Unicron, destroying his body, leaving only his head, which becomes a moon of Cybertron. As Unicron's head drifts around in space the movie ends, with the credits shown in a background of his head floating in space. In, Unicron was voiced. Unicron proved to be Welles's final role, as he died a few days after completing work on the project; rumors persist that Welles did not complete recording of all his lines, and that filled in for him, but the film's voice director and actress refute the claim. There were two early attempts to produce Unicron toys for the Transformers toyline, featuring voice clips from Welles himself, but the results never made it to production. It was not until 2003 that a production Unicron toy was made. For the 20th anniversary of the original movie, Diamond Select released an eight and a half inch tall statue of Unicron and Rodimus Prime. The third season of The Transformers animated series continues Unicron's story where the movie left off, as the planet-eater's deactivated head settles into orbit around. His head is visited by, who accesses the memory bank to discern the fate of Galvatron. Later, the ghost of the deceased Decepticon reactivates Unicron's head and enters into a bargain with him, performing three labors in exchange for the restoration of his body. Starscream (inhabiting and controlling 's body) gathers for Unicron 's eyes (breaking one and replacing it with one from ) and Trypticon's transformation cog. He begins to connect his head to Cybertron, which would become Unicron's new body. Starscream demands that Unicron restore his own body so that he can complete the required connections. Once Unicron does so, Starscream double-crosses him, and refuses to finish the job. Unicron's head is subsequently blown off into space by an explosion instigated by the Autobots. Later, when searching for a new supply of positrons (anti-electrons), the Decepticons venture to Unicron's head, where Cyclonus and Scourge accidentally awake the slumbering demi-god. At the same time, constructs from pieces of Unicron's head the, and one of their number,, severs enough of Unicron's neural connections to shut him back down. Although Unicron himself does not appear again, his origin in the animated series is later revealed. Unicron was created near the beginning of the universe by the diminutive genius known as Primacron, who intended for him to devour all life in the universe, leaving a blank slate that Primacron could use as he saw fit. However, Unicron turned upon Primacron, deciding that he would rule the universe and subsequently setting out to achieve that goal. Unicron's head is seen one last time as Primacron's new creation cripples. This time the head looks very old and almost stone-like, underlining that Unicron is finally dead. When the Generation 2 animated series aired, animated bits of the film with Unicron in it were edited into the episode 'More Than Meets The Eye Part 1'. Beast Era [ ] Although the real Unicron did not make any appearances in 1996's CGI animated series,, he is mentioned. Starscream's ghost spins a lie that Unicron had destroyed him (Unicron's planet mode is seen in Starscream's fabricated flashback), and when the mysterious alien race known as the directly communicates with leader, they search his mind for an image that he would fear and respect, find Unicron, and take the form of his head. Later, in Season 3 of Beast Wars, attempts to destroy both Autobots and Decepticons in the, as he and the are descended from a different lineage than Autobot or Decepticon, and would hence inherit Cybertron all to themselves. Although never directly stated, it is implied that the ancestor of Tarantulas and the Council is Unicron; Megatron refers to Tarantulas as 'Unicron's spawn' in the Beast Wars episode 'Nemesis Part 1'. In Episode 16 of, calls Megatron's floating head a tribute to Unicron. Conversely, Unicron played a large role in the two Japanese-exclusive animated Beast Wars series, and. Following the events of The Transformers: The Movie and Unicron's demise, the that gave Unicron life are left sealed within planet Gaia (a future version of Earth). When the war on this planet between the forces of Maximal leader and leader (a different individual bearing the same name as Unicron's original creation) culminates in the explosion of Galvatron's battle fortress, the resultant energy surge revives Unicron's consciousness. Seeking to complete his resurrection, he creates the to gather the Angolmois Capsules his life-energy is sealed in, and then proceeds to possess the lifeless body of Galvatron as a temporary host. After gathering the capsules, Unicron attempts to make Cybertron his new body, but is defeated by Maximal commander. As with his original incarnation, there was a failed attempt to make Unicron into a toy for the Beast Wars Neo line, and although regarded as quite impressive, the prototype - which, notably, does not resemble Unicron from the associated series at all - did not make it to production. Unicron Trilogy [ ] Although Unicron plays a major role in the above-mentioned Japanese series, he had not been featured as a major player in American fiction for over a decade. The advent of the three co-produced series, and reintroduced Unicron to American audiences and finally rendered him in toy form, with the partner. In reference to Unicron's key role in these three series, Hasbro's head of Transformers,, has collectively dubbed them 'The Unicron Trilogy'. This incarnation of Unicron is not shown to physically consume planets in the same manner as his G1 predecessor, only to blast and absorb the remains. During his battle with, who has grown to Unicron's size, Unicron demonstrates that he has enough power to simply destroy a planet completely without consuming it, but several references are made to consumption, so he may indeed perform the action. In one of the mini-comic books packed in with the later Armada toys, Unicron is illustrated literally eating an asteroid or moon whole. [ ] This Unicron was voiced by in the U.S., and by in Japan. A primal force of evil from the beginning of time, his origins lost to history, the Armada universe's incarnation of Unicron is the embodiment of the darkness and hate in the hearts of all beings. Defeated by the Autobot warrior at some time in the ancient past of Cybertron, Unicron hides himself in plain sight of the Transformers, disguised as the planet's moon. In order to re-energise himself, Unicron implants some of his own cells within Cybertron, where they grow and 'hatch', giving birth to the diminutive race of robots called the. Unicron intends them to increase the ferocity of the Autobot/Decepticon war, allowing Unicron to feed off the hatred. As a result of interference by human children, displaced in time from the 21st century, the Mini-Cons develop sentience and flee Cybertron, crashing on Earth where they lay dormant for a million years. The subsequent awakening of the Mini-Cons increases the pace of the war, and to hasten the proceeding, Unicron creates another being from his own body, Sideways. Sideways serves as Unicron's agent to manipulate the events on Earth to keep the balance of power shifting and the ferocity of both sides increasing. At the culmination of his plan, the Decepticons come into possession of all three Mini-Con weapons - the Star Saber, the Skyboom Shield and the Requiem Blaster - which Sideways and Thrust steal and use to reactivate Unicron. Unicron transforms to robot mode and turns on Cybertron as the combined Autobot/Decepticon armada attempt in vain to stop him. And (now Galvatron) enter his body with the human children, and Unicron addresses them through 's form. He absorbs all but Optimus into his collective consciousness and brings the Mini-Cons back under his control. However, from within Unicron's mind, Rad is able to use his connection to High Wire to restore the Mini-Cons' individual minds, freeing the weapons and deactivating Unicron. With the danger apparently over, Galvatron challenges Prime to a final battle, but the hatred between the foes stirs Unicron to life again, and upon realizing this, Galvatron decides to sacrifice himself to ensure there will be no more hatred. Plunging into Unicron's maw and allowing Optimus to escape alive, Galvatron ends the hatred. In a mighty flash, Unicron vanishes without a trace, although at the end of the series he is shown orbiting an unknown planet. Unicron's body is inactive and badly damaged from his previous battle. Ten years after Galvatron's sacrifice a former victim of Unicron chooses to strike. Within Unicron's shell, the Spark of, ruler of Planet Q, which Unicron had consumed in the past, still exists. From Unicron's body he creates the to gather Energon, which he intends to use to regenerate all the worlds Unicron devoured. However, Megatron's corpse and Spark remain within Unicron, and slowly siphon off some of the gathered Energon, allowing him to be reborn in a new body through the unintentional actions of. Hunted by Megatron, Alpha-Q then jettisons Unicron's head and escapes in it. Megatron takes over Unicron's body and continues to gather Energon in order to rebuild Unicron to use as a weapon. A joint attack by Alpha-Q, the Autobots, and their human allies sees all of Earth's Energon channeled into Unicron's head, which Alpha-Q then rams into Unicron's body. The positively charged Energon of Earth reacts with the negatively charged Energon running through Unicron. It tears open a fissure in reality leading to a new area of space where planets Unicron consumed are recreated and sustained through the Energon radiated from Unicron's head, which is now a glowing red sun. Unicron's body, damaged once more, lies in the dark reaches near the fissure. The Decepticons raid Alpha-Q's new planets for the Energon necessary to revive Unicron again. Megatron directs Unicron's body to retrieve his head, extinguishing the Energon Sun and killing Alpha-Q in the process. Unicron begins to take over Megatron's body. Unicron's body is destroyed in battle by Optimus Supreme with the help of some of the other Autobots. Unbeknownst to anyone, Unicron lives on in two forms: his minuscule Spark, and his consciousness, which lies buried in Megatron's mind. With subconscious nudgings, Unicron leads Megatron to a large reservoir of 'Super Energon' beneath Cybertron's surface, which transforms him into Galvatron. After a series of failed battles, Galvatron exposes himself to the Super Energon once again, and grows to a gigantic height. Unicron seizes control of his body as a new vessel and sets out to rejoin with his Spark, but a -empowered Optimus Supreme engages him in battle again, and draws all of Unicron's consciousness out of Galvatron and seals it within his own Spark. Enraged, Galvatron prepares to destroy Unicron's Spark, but it merges with him, enlarging him again. He battles again with Optimus Supreme, this time bolstered by the combined energy of all his troops' Sparks. Meanwhile, Primus merges with the Super Energon, creating a fledgling sun which arrives at the site of the battle. Taking control of his body for a brief moment, Galvatron sacrifices himself to stop Unicron, plunging into the infant sun, which ignites and gives new life to Alpha-Q's worlds. With Unicron's destruction in Energon, the collapse of his body results in the creation of an enormous which, if left unchecked, will consume and destroy everything. The Autobots must find the and the to save Cybertron and the universe. Later, the Cybertron Transformers learn from that destroying Unicron results in an imbalance between good (Primus, who still exists) and evil (Unicron, who is gone); this imbalance factored into the creation of the black hole, known as the Unicron Singularity in American fiction or the Grand Black Hole in Japan. His scattered pieces are absorbed by Megatron giving Megatron dark powers and causing him to look like Unicron. The Japanese equivalent, Galaxy Force, makes several scattered references to Unicron, as the Japanese producers for the series decided not to have Galaxy Force follow the events of Micron Legend (the Japanese equivalent of Armada) and Super Link (the Japanese equivalent of Energon). The Unicron toy in the series is the size of a deluxe class Transformer toy and transforms into a Cybertronian tank instead of a planet. This portrayal of Unicron is consistent with his appearance in the Cybertron strip in the Hasbro Club Collector's comic where he is portrayed at around the same size as his foes and. Aligned continuity [ ] In the storyline, Unicron (voiced by ) is the source of Dark Energon, a form of Energon with the ability to revive the dead - albeit in a mindless, zombie-like 'Terrorcon' state - also known by the name 'the blood of Unicron'. Unicron is believed to represent the Anti-Spark (most likely a counterpart of the ). As Optimus Prime relates, Primus and the original Thirteen Primes defeated Unicron and sent his body beyond Cybertron's orbit. As the Chaos Bringer drifted through space, he attracted space debris around himself that coalesced into Planet Earth, rich with Dark Energon. The gravitational pull of an astrological alignment awakens Unicron from his slumber, as Earth's weather patterns go out of control. Having transcended physical form, Unicron berates Megatron for thinking of being his servant. Sensing Optimus Prime and the Matrix of Leadership, Unicron resolves to finish the Autobot leader himself. He creates incarnations of himself to kill the Autobot. Though Optimus Prime pleas for the humans who evolved on Earth, Unicron dismisses them as parasites with the intent to slaughter them, once he finishes with Optimus Prime. Though the Autobots come to Optimus Prime's aid, Megatron destroys the last golem, refusing to allow anyone else to kill Optimus Prime. He sides with the Autobots and guides them to the Earth's core to stop Unicron before he completely awakens. Despite using his anti-bodies and possessing Megatron's body to hinder him and the other Autobots, Optimus Prime uses the Matrix of Leadership to deactivate Unicron without destroying the Earth, though he loses his memory of being a Prime until the Autobots restore it. The awakening of Unicron from within the Earth draws the attention of in another dimension. Travelling across realities, he arrives to find that the Autobots and Decepticons have already defeated Unicron, but elects to remain for a time to safeguard against his potential return. Using his ancient sword and the power of his Energon Matrix, Lio Convoy carves up the remains of one of Unicron's rock-and-stone avatars to create the Gaia Armor, severing its link to Unicron but allowing it to retain the power of Dark Energon. Unicron returns in the series finale movie. When Optimus Prime restores the spirit of Primus, Unicron senses it and reawakens, this time in energy form. He confronts Megatron, saying that because of the Dark Energon within him, Megatron cannot become one with the Allspark. Therefore, he will become Unicron's vessel, and serve him in order to destroy Cybertron. Unicron brings Megatron back to life and upgrades his form, using it to travel through hyperspace toward Cybertron. Upon arriving, he confronts Bumblebee, Arcee, Bulkhead, and Smokescreen, nearly killing them using his Dark Energon weapons. Megatron starts to question Unicron's motives of destroying Cybertron, but Unicron psychically tortures him to keep him at bay. After their escape, Unicron comes across, who, upon recognizing Megatron's body, viciously attacks Unicron in beast mode. Unicron proves to be stronger than Predaking and knocks him unconscious. He reads his mind, finding that Predacon remains will make a perfect legion for his destruction of Cybertron and Primus. Unicron proceeds to a Predacon boneyard, defeating Predacons Skylynx and Darksteel in battle and bringing hundreds of deceased Predacons back to life as Terrorcons. He leads his new army to Cybertron's Well of All Sparks, and engages the Autobots, Decepticons, and Predacons in battle. He confronts Optimus Prime when he senses the Allspark. He fights him on even terms until he strikes Optimus down when Optimus makes a grab for the Allspark's container as Bumblebee holds Unicron down. Escaping Bumblebee, Unicron flies after Optimus and opens the container. He realizes too late that it is a trick, and his energy form is sucked into the container, freeing Megatron from his control and defeating Unicron. His legions of undead Predacons are destroyed. It turns out that Optimus had stored the Allspark in the Matrix of Leadership and would soon take the Matrix into the Well, sacrificing himself to ensure the return of Cybertronian life. Now understanding oppression, Megatron relinquishes his hatred and his lust for conquest, leaving for parts unknown to start anew. Unicron reappears in the sequel series,, set five years after the events of Predacons Rising. Although the majority of Unicron's anti-spark were safely imprisoned in the Allspark container, a remnant of the anti-spark still exists with Unicron's original body at the Earth's core. When is freed and brought to Earth, he uses a spark-merging staff to extract the remnant from beneath the Earth, intending to merge the anti-spark and the Allspark together to destroy both Earth and Cybertron. When the staff is broken before it can fully draw in the Allspark, the anti-spark remnant returns to the Earth's core. In the (set in the same continuity as Prime) episode 'Christmas in July', Heatwave tells that his throwing skills are insufficient to hit the backside of Unicron. Optimus Prime later references Unicron when the Burns discover a prehistoric island underneath Griffin Rock, telling them 'there are many things beneath the Earth's surface humans are not aware of'. Publication history [ ] Marvel Comics [ ] In the comics, Unicron is a fallen god from before the universe existed who seeks the ultimate peace granted by the destruction of all life. Unicron accomplishes this, wiping out everything in the universe and leaving only nothingness and void. His lust for destruction sated, Unicron enters a deep sleep, but he had not been thorough enough. Tiny fragments of the old universe react with each other, and a new universe is born. As Unicron sleeps, the core of this new universe - somehow a sentient being - becomes aware of Unicron's threat and creates a defender to battle his evil -, the lord of light. Unicron awakes to find himself surrounded by another universe, and begins to destroy it again. He and Primus clash many times, the force of their battles wiping out the very life Primus had been created to protect. To stop the destruction, Primus shifts the battle to the astral plane. In shifting the battle back to the physical universe without time to properly generate their energy forms, Primus entraps both himself and Unicron in two barren asteroids. Over the eons, Unicron learns to psionically shape his asteroid, and transforms it into a metallic planet, and then into a gargantuan robot. Primus, fearing that following suit by forming himself in a similar manner will simply pick up the conflict where it had left off, seeks an alternative way to defend the universe against the threat of Unicron by turning his asteroid into. He populates it with robotic beings that, like Unicron, can alter their forms, giving rise to the transformers. Unicron's slightly convoluted comic tenure began in the 's exclusive Transformers comic series, which splices its own stories with reprinted American material. Writer worked elements of the movie into his stories, creating a future universe based on the movie's events, but different from the cartoon. In the first use of this timeline, in the mega-serial,, Galvatron travels back in time in an attempt to escape the control of Unicron. Unicron is able to ensnare the minds of three Autobots - Hot Rod, and - and sends them back in time after him to foil his plot. Though Unicron's role in the story itself was minor, it offered the first glimpse of his greater mental power. In the UK comics' version of post-movie events, Unicron's head does not enter Cybertron's orbit, and instead crashlands on the. Still active, Unicron uses his mental powers to enslave the minds of the Junkion natives, who set about rebuilding his body.,, and the freelance peacekeeping agent,, fall prey to him. He uses them to exacerbate the stalemated war on Cybertron to keep the Autobots busy, so that they will not learn of his impending resurrection. When Death's Head fights back against Unicron's mental control, Unicron rewards his temerity by revealing the comic book version of his origin. Death's Head then aids Rodimus Prime, projecting his mind into Unicron's where they battle, until Unicron's head is destroyed by explosives, and his essence sealed within the Matrix. Rodimus and several other future Autobots subsequently travel back in time to 1989 and participate in the 'Time Wars'. When they attempt to return to their own time afterward, they discover that disruptions to the timestream have erased their future, and replaced it with one where the Decepticons rule Cybertron. In this future, Unicron's essence emerges from the Matrix and briefly takes over Rodimus Prime, before he is thwarted by the removal of the Matrix from Rodimus's body. In 2010, however, Unicron attempted this again and succeeded, controlling Rodimus's body and reshaping it into his own image, before being defeated by Rodimus's own force of will. In 1987, Simon Furman began writing the U.S. Transformers series in addition to the UK comics, and set in motion an epic Unicron-themed story. Unicron makes his presence known to the Transformers much earlier than 2005. A battle between the Autobot Classic and the Decepticons' at the centre of Cybertron has the side effect of waking the slumbering Primus, who is struck by a stray laser blast and awakes with a scream. Although he immediately sinks back into slumber, his scream echoes throughout the universe and Unicron hears it. Now aware of his enemy's location, Unicron heads towards Cybertron, but, seeking a herald to sow chaos in his name ahead of his coming, uses his formidable powers to send three agents -, forward in time to an alternate future version of 2009. In this timeline, Unicron succeeds in consuming Cybertron in the year 2005, and Galvatron and the Decepticons rule Earth. This timeline's version of Galvatron is pulled back to 1990 by Hook, Line and Sinker and press-ganged into Unicron's service, but, like his predecessors, turns on his master by forcing Emirate Xaaron to awaken Primus in hopes of destroying Unicron. Primus possesses Xaaron and attempts to hold off Unicron, but he is weak, and his attack a ruse [ ], leading to his own destruction. This, along with a direct attack by Galvatron, succeeds in galvanising the Autobots and Decepticons to attack Unicron together. They do little damage and many Transformers die before Optimus Prime is able use the Matrix to destroy Unicron, exploding his body from within. Dreamwave Productions [ ]. Unicron, as seen in the Ultimate Guide In contrast to his major roles in the Marvel comics, the cancellation of the Transformers comics meant that Unicron would play a much lesser role in events. His presence is first hinted at in the second 'War Within' arc, where the enlist the (,, and ) to capture a number of Transformers (,,, and ) for an arcane ritual to summon the Fallen's Master. It fails, due to a combined strike by 's Autobots and, with the Fallen being killed. He makes his first mainstream appearance in volume 3, issue 1 of the main Generation One series, seemingly summoned by Shockwave at the end of the previous volume. He dispatches Scourge at the head of a huge armada of to search the galaxy for Cybertron. Locates it, but is shot in the back and deactivated by Shockwave, who used analysis of his body to create the. Unicron destroys Lithone, before beginning to journey to Earth. Dreamwave went bankrupt and the next issue was never released. Writer Chris Sarracini has indicated that he would have followed through on the Unicron storyline, and also would have had the Dreamwave version of Cyclonus rescue Scourge from US government study. Although ' Unicron Trilogy comics were cut short halfway through their Transformers: Energon series, they establish an important piece of information that is used to shape Unicron's story in future fiction. This version of Unicron does not merely consume worlds and seek the destruction of the singular universe, but moves from universe to universe, destroying entire realities until all of causality and existence is obliterated. His coming in the Armada comic universe is foreshadowed when he pulls into a parallel dimension where Cybertron is devastated. Unicron sends the nearly dead of the parallel universe to the main universe, who warns them of Unicron's coming before dying. Subsequently, Unicron sends his - alternates of the Generation 1 versions of,,,, and - ahead to destroy those who can oppose him (including ) and capture the Mini-Con Matrix. Galvatron is killed by Megatron using the, and the other Heralds are destroyed in their captured Decepticon base by an explosion engineered. Unaware of his Heralds' failure, Unicron now threatens to destroy Prime, but the Mini-Cons and Jetfire manage to rescue Prime, with the power of the Mini-Con Matrix upgrading them and combining them into their mode. They hold off Unicron long enough to escape back to their universe. Unicron comes to the Armada universe himself, where he is attacked by a combined force of Autobots and Decepticons. They distract him long enough for the Mini-Cons to access the power of the Matrix and destroy the Chaos-Bringer. Unicron survives, but is crippled and no longer has the power to transform or even move. He is forced to employ servants to do his bidding: Alpha Q and the, who are disgruntled former Decepticons upgraded by Unicron in return for harvesting enough Energon to repower him. While they attack Earth, a rich source of Energon, Unicron sends his four Horsemen -,, and, absorbed by Unicron in the previous battle - against Cybertron, devastating much of it before Optimus Prime stops them. Many of the latter Energon stories are set inside Unicron himself as Megatron, whose also survived the previous battle, attempts to convince Prime to resurrect him in a new body, with the planet eater seemingly unaware of their actions. Alpha Q shows signs of rebelling against Unicron, and Prime prepares to fight back from inside Unicron. The series was canceled before these plot threads could come to fruition. Writer revealed that a future storyline of the Energon comic would have included another attack by Unicron. [ ] Devil's Due Publishing [ ] Unicron made a cameo appearance in the second G.I. Joe vs the Transformers crossover produced by Devil's Due. At the end of the arc, operative meets with the cult and discovers their alliance with Unicron. One of 's visions of the future shows Mindbender and Unicron as a coming threat, a prophecy that comes to pass in the fourth crossover 'Black Horizon'. Apparently banished from his world thousands of years ago, Unicron travels the galaxy, devouring planets to quench his hunger and taking their populations as slaves to maintain his inner body works. He runs into trouble when attacking Earth. Oppose Unicron, threatening to attack him with a metal-devouring organic spore. Before the two sides can annihilate each other, they reach an agreement favouring both parties. The creatures will go into hiding, allowing humanity to develop. When they reach a sufficient technological level to serve as slaves for Unicron's inner workings, they will call Unicron. He will destroy humanity and they will inherit the human-free world he leaves behind. Thousands of years later the pact is kept and the creatures, now calling themselves Cobra-La, summon Unicron via a beacon. After attacking a pirate vessel on the outskirts of a solar system, Unicron journeys to Earth. Hailed as the 'Doom Star' by terrified humans, Unicron transforms to robot mode and prepares to destroy humanity. He is thwarted when and travel through his mouth into his body bearing the metal-eating spores of Cobra-La. Despite the best efforts of his 'anti-bodies' (the ), they deliver the spores directly to his brain. He is last seen entering convulsions, indicating he is no longer a threat. It is later mentioned his body is floating around Earth. In this continuity, Unicron is thought of as the Transformers' equivalent of the 'boogeyman'. The revelation that Unicron had been banished from his home planet indicates a different origin from ones used for previous incarnations of Unicron. Botcon [ ] The storyline for the fan convention from 1998 to 2000 featured Unicron's life force ending up on prehistoric Earth following the destruction of his body in Transformers: The Movie. It is eventually found by a lowly Predacon known as the Hunter, who fashions a container for it that he dubs the Decepticon Matrix of Conquest. Taking the name, this villain seems to become one with Unicron himself, with the pair of them laying waste to Shokaract's Cybertron and the rest of the universe. However, the instability of the timestream means that Unicron's lifeforce, also known as the Dark Essence, is in danger of being pulled away from prehistoric Earth before the Hunter can find it, which would undo Shokaract's timeline. Shokaract thus dispatches two of his Heralds, and, to safeguard the Dark Essence, only for Antagony to be captured by 's and Cataclysm to perish in battle with the Maximal hero Windrazor. Shokaract travels back in time to secure the Essence and destroy the Maximals, only to be engaged in battle by the. With the aid of other Transformers from across time and space, the Covenant succeeds in defeating Shokaract, and the Dark Essence of Unicron is drawn back into time, erasing Shokaract's timeline. IDW Publishing [ ] While writer had ruled out Unicron in the main IDW G1 series, this did not prevent him from using Unicron in his Beast Wars series. The series opens with a disembodied, trapped in temporal limbo by at the end of The Gathering, watching the annihilation of the future Cybertron by a new version of Shokaract and Unicron. Unicron appears in spectral form in issue #2, dispatching Rartorata to Earth to stop an anomaly in the timestream (the disembodied ) from interfering in the 'ascending'. Unicron plans to use Shokaract as a vessel through which to reemerge into the universe and destroy Cybertron. His plans are foiled when an unlikely alliance of Maximals and Predacons succeed in battling his Heralds. Meanwhile, transports Shokaract into Magmatron's limbo realm. Realizing the truth of Unicron's intentions, Shokaract kills himself. Binaltech [ ] In the saga, the future seen in alters the. His interference includes trapping all the Decepticons in a spatial rift, with the knowledge that Unicron will soon attack Cybertron. He plans for the Autobots to face Unicron unaided, and the Decepticons to return and conquer whoever prevailed. As a result of these changes, the final showdown between and does not occur, and Prime does not die. With Megatron trapped in the rift, Unicron does not encounter the Decepticon leader, and therefore does not to reformat him into. Through the events of the story, Optimus Prime learns that the Matrix can destroy Unicron, and he and launch an assault on the giant. Within Unicron's body, Optimus Prime is severely damaged and passes the Matrix to Magnus, who completes the mission, and the pair escape as Unicron explodes. 3H Enterprises [ ] Unicron again appears as a character in the comics by 3H Enterprises, seemingly the same Unicron as seen in Armada. This time he can physically eat planets as in Generation 1. Set after Beast Wars and Beast Machines, and his defeat by, he gathers Transformers from across different realities to create an army. He forces them to fight inside Unicron, where he feasts on both the excess Energon they give off and the Sparks of the losers. In response to this, and resurrect and reformat to lead the fight against the evil Unicron. After freeing Unicron's captives, the Chaos-Bringer gathers an army of his own, dubbed 'the Decepticons', to fight against Primus. The army is led by, an alternate version of, and consists of alternate versions of,, and. Although the end of Universe did not provide a proper conclusion to the storyline, the Cybertron Club Comic portrayed the ending. In 'Revelations, Part 2', when is called to another dimension to fight Unicron's heralds, he reflects back on the final battle between Primus's forces and Unicron's army. Unicron suddenly disappeared, his existence ended by the black hole created by his defeat in Transformers: Energon. Fun Publications [ ] The Transformers club comic further developed Unicron's story for the Cybertron era, attempting to fill in plot holes. The comic states that Primus' chosen task in Energon is to imprison and burn away Unicron's disembodied spark within a fledgling sun. This sun is the one that was born to save Alpha-Q's world. Megatron's spark, also inside, interferes and the sun collapses, trapping Unicron's spark inside (bridging it between other universes). The black hole is born, and Megatron freed. He uses pieces of Unicron to remake his body, as well as revive, his most loyal subject. The black hole begins to devour space and time, unraveling historical events and building new ones. This is the reason for the 'errors' in the Cybertron animated series, as it is following a constantly reshaping universe. A new Unicron toy was released at the end of the Cybertron toy line as a Deluxe-class figure with a tank-like alternate mode. Although the character did not appear in Transformers: Cybertron or its Japanese equivalent Transformers: Galaxy Force, the Hasbro Club comic served to introduce this new version of the Chaos-Bringer. In this story, the black hole contains Unicron's essence and links him simultaneously to all Cybertrons across the Multiverse, giving him the potential to wipe out Primus in one fell swoop. This course is held at bay by Transformers from across the Multiverse, usually consisting of characters derived from Convention and Club exclusives as well as Cybertron figures that play no role in the television series. In one issue, is dispatched to Cybertron after and Nemesis Prime's failure. He tosses the into the black hole, releasing Unicron's spark which quickly overtakes a nearby world, converting its inhabitants into savage maniacs. With the destruction of the planet his body is reborn as a normal sized Transformer. When Unicron attacks Cybertron in the midst of the chaos caused by a Mini-Con civil war, and fight him off with the help of their allies. In the end Unicron is driven off, badly wounded, by Primus. Unicron appears in a flashback in 'The Coming Storm: Part 1'. 'Ask Vector Prime' later revealed that Unicron's ties to Planet X stretched back years, the planet having once been the remnants of Unicron's body from the events of The Transformers: The Movie, which were blasted into another universe. Ending up on the edge of the Sol system, Unicron attempted to repair himself but was hindered by the actions of the Megatron of that universe. In response, Unicron reformatted his former victims in order to use them to accelerate his reconstruction; they soon converted him into a dimension-hopping battle station and attacked another reality. However, the Autobots of that reality struck back using the power of Zodiac energy, driving Unicron's lifeforce from Planet X and splitting it in two, creating a paradise world that remained behind in the attacked reality and a damaged husk that was eventually destroyed by the inhabitants of Gigantion. In the comic 'Hoist the Flag', set centuries later, Unicron's head proves to be the objective sought by the Star Seeker pirates under Cannonball, whose crew includes a version of Shokaract known as the Hunter. In 'Another Light', Unicron, Primus, and the Thirteen cease to be multiversal singularities, instead existing as multiple separate individuals throughout the multiverse. This results in a Unicron in the Shattered Glass universe who is wholly good, with a counterpart Primus who is entirely evil. The noble Unicron comes across the broken Autobot forces of Optimus Prime, and offers them a chance to be reborn and enlightened. As a result, Optimus Prime is reborn as while his fellow Autobots are likewise reformatted. They return to Cybertron and overthrow Rodimus Prime. In association with the Fun Publications' storyline, 'Ask ' also included information on Unicron. This included introducing a version of him from the universe who was notably distinct from his alternate selves. Having once been the tank-alt-moded ruler of Planet X, he eventually fused himself together with the planetoid and took on his more familiar form from Generation 1 and other continuities. Titan Magazines [ ] Note: Information in italics occur in the alternate storyline where Megatron wins the battle for the Allspark. Cybertron's status is unknown, mostly abandoned as it began to die. And a group of Decepticons remain, staying alive by using. Stockade believes they can renew Cybertron by summoning a new power source, one related to the AllSpark. They succeed in summoning such an energy being, which enters Cybertron to renew it. To everyone's horror, it announces itself as Unicron. The possessed Cybertron is swiftly altered into a form with a large mouth and grasping prongs, turned hostile to those on it, and warped to the Sol system. The Autobots and Decepticons are able to destroy Unicron, but Cybertron is left in its transformed state and seemingly in the Sol system, as well as dead and powerless. When the Autobots are ordered off American soil, they regroup under Cybertron and begin working on the teleportation engines that Unicron left there when he transformed the planet. Using these, they make a decisive strike by teleporting the entire Decepticon army to Cybertron, then teleporting Cybertron to the far reaches of space. With the engines burnt out and no energy on the planet, the Decepticons are marooned there, at the cost of the Autobots never being able to go home. Unite Warriors [ ] In conjunction with the Unite Warriors line, released a comic detailing how the Galvatronus combiner came to be. Following his defeat at the conclusion of The Headmasters, Galvatron's icy tomb is discovered by Cyclonus, whose body Galvatron modifies to accommodate his own head in the chest compartment. Seeking a more fitting form, Galvatron directs Cyclonus to approach the disembodied head of Unicron, who is convinced to help Galvatron attain a combiner form with Cyclonus as its core. To accomplish this, Unicron opens dimensional rifts in order to bring,, and into their world. To Cyclonus' surprise, makes an appearance, expressing interest in joining this new alliance. Unicron grants Starscream a new physical form, and Galvatron's head takes control of his new minions to take on his new form of Galvatronus. Transformers Cinematic Universe [ ]. Unicron is noted by Quintessa to be another name for Earth, and Optimus Prime recognises Unicron as Cybertron's ancient enemy. Quintessa plans to drain Unicron's energy to restore the damaged Cybertron, killing life on Earth in the process. Simmons later helps Burton locate an ancient book containing details about Unicron, noting that the centre-point of Unicron's horns (during the era when all of Earth's continents formed ) is. Megatron and Quintessa begin draining energy from Unicron, but are foiled, and later Quintessa (disguised as a human) approaches a scientist studying one of Unicron's horns to warn him not to touch the chaos-bringer and offer a way to kill him. Games [ ] Unicron is among the characters appearing in the 2004 video game for the. Unicron begins attacking Cybertron, requiring the Autobots to collect enough Mini-cons to create a power-up mode for Optimus Prime. The player must chase Unicron as he orbits around Cybertron and enter his maw as he prepares to fire, blasting him with the Matrix Cannon until eventually Unicron is destroyed. Unicron is mentioned a number of times in. Eons ago, Unicron created to serve him and destroy the Matrix of Leadership. After Unicron's demise a meteor of Dark Energon with Thunderwing sealed within crashes on Earth. Comes across the meteor and finds Thunderwing who reveals that he is a minion of Unicron and his mission was to destroy the Matrix. Thunderwing seeks help from the Decepticons for the repairs needed. He fails thanks to the combined efforts of Prime and and falls into a volcano. Books [ ] Unicron is mentioned a number of times in the novels, and. Unicron is defeated in his attempt to destroy Cybertron early in its history, but emanations of his presence remain and are gathered and stored on Station. This substance is a violently addictive poison that can pass on to another bot once its user dies, and is dubbed the Sparks of Unicron. Ultimately contaminates the core with Dark Energon, forcing the planet to shut down and reboot. Unicron's name is used by the Decepticons as an oath, and they seem to hold him in a sense of reverence similar to how the Autobots regard Primus. The Quintessons, during their attempt to convince Megatron that they could deliver a Decepticon Matrix of Leadership to him, indicate that the artifact was created by Unicron. It showed that 'OpenOffice received about 10% of the improvements LibreOffice did in the period of time studied.' A timeline of major derivatives of StarOffice and OpenOffice.org with LibreOffice in green ooo-build, Go-oo and Oracle [ ] Members of the OpenOffice.org community who were not employees had wanted a more egalitarian form for the OpenOffice.org project for many years; Sun had stated in the original OpenOffice.org announcement in 2000, that the project would eventually be run by a neutral foundation, and put forward a more detailed proposal in 2001. And then had maintained the ooo-build set, a project led by, to make the build easier on and due to the difficulty of getting contributions accepted upstream by Sun, even from corporate partners. It tracked the main line of development and was not intended to constitute a fork. It was also the standard build mechanism for OpenOffice.org in most and was contributed to by said distributions. In 2007, ooo-build was made available by Novell as a software package called (ooo-build had used the go-oo.org as early as 2005 ), which included many features not included in upstream OpenOffice.org. Go-oo also encouraged outside contributions, with rules similar to those later adopted for LibreOffice. Sun's contributions to OpenOffice.org had been declining for some time, they remained reluctant to accept contributions and contributors were upset at Sun releasing OpenOffice.org code to IBM for under a proprietary contract, rather than under an open source licence. Sun was purchased by in early 2010. OpenOffice.org community members were concerned by Oracle's behaviour towards open source software, the and Oracle's withdrawal of developers and lack of activity on or visible commitment to OpenOffice.org, as had been noted by industry observers – as Meeks put it in early September 2010, 'The news from the Oracle OpenOffice conference was that there was no news.' Discussion of a fork started soon after. The Document Foundation and LibreOffice [ ] On 28 September 2010, was announced as the host of LibreOffice, a new derivative of OpenOffice.org. The Document Foundation's initial announcement stated their concerns that Oracle would either discontinue OpenOffice.org, or place restrictions on it as an open source project, as it had on Sun's. LibreOffice 3.3 beta used the ooo-build build infrastructure and the OpenOffice.org 3.3 beta code from Oracle, then adding selected patches from Go-oo. Go-oo was discontinued in favour of LibreOffice. Since the office suite that was branded 'OpenOffice.org' in most Linux distributions was in fact Go-oo, most moved immediately to LibreOffice. Oracle was invited to become a member of The Document Foundation. However, Oracle demanded that all members of the OpenOffice.org Community Council involved with The Document Foundation step down from the OOo Community Council, claiming a conflict of interest. Naming [ ] The name 'LibreOffice' was picked after researching trademark databases, social media and if it could be used for in various countries. It was originally hoped that the LibreOffice name would be provisional, as Oracle was invited to become a member of The Document Foundation. However, Oracle rejected requests to donate the OpenOffice.org brand to the project. LibreOffice was initially named BrOffice in Brazil. OpenOffice.org had been distributed as BrOffice.org by the BrOffice Centre of Excellence for Free Software because of a trademark issue. End of OpenOffice.org and beginning of Apache OpenOffice [ ] Oracle announced in April 2011 that it was ending its development of OpenOffice.org and would lay off the majority of its paid developers. In June 2011, Oracle announced that it would donate the OpenOffice.org code and trademark to the, where the project was accepted for a project incubation process within the foundation, thus becoming. In an interview with LWN in 2011, Ubuntu founder blamed The Document Foundation for destroying OpenOffice.org because it did not license code under Oracle's. But former Sun executive denies this is the case: The act of creating The Document Foundation and its LibreOffice project did no demonstrable harm to Oracle's business. There is no new commercial competition to Oracle Open Office (their commercial edition of OO.o) arising from LibreOffice. No contributions that Oracle valued were ended by its creation. Oracle's ability to continue development of the code was in no way impaired. Oracle's decision appears to be simply that, after a year of evaluation, the profit to be made from developing Oracle Open Office and Oracle Cloud Office did not justify the salaries of over 100 senior developers working on them both. Suggesting that TDF was in some way to blame for a hard-headed business decision that seemed inevitable from the day Oracle's acquisition of Sun was announced is at best disingenuous. In March 2015, an comparison of LibreOffice with its cousin project Apache OpenOffice concluded that 'LibreOffice has won the battle for developer participation'. Release history [ ]. LibreOffice weekly downloads since 2010. Estimated in September 2011, that there were 10 million users worldwide who had obtained LibreOffice via. Over 90% of those were on Windows, with another 5% on. LibreOffice is the default office suite for most, and is installed when the is installed or updated. Based on reckonings for new or updated Linux installations in 2011, The Document Foundation estimated a subtotal of 15 million Linux users. This gave a total estimated user base of 25 million users in 2011. In September 2013, after two years, the estimated number of LibreOffice users was 75 million. A million new unique IP addresses check for downloads each week. In August 2016, the number of LibreOffice users was estimated at 120 million. The Document Foundation has set a target of 200 million users worldwide before the end of 2020. LibreOffice has seen various mass deployments since its inception: 2003–2010 • In 2003–2004, the Brazilian corporation started migrating its software to BrOffice (the local version of LibreOffice at the time), with estimated value of 3.5 million (approximately US$1.2 million at the time), and became a for similar initiatives in Brazil, particularly in. • In 2005, the French Gendarmerie announced its migration to OpenOffice.org. It planned to migrate 72,000 desktop machines to a customised version of Ubuntu with LibreOffice by 2015. • In 2010, the Irish city of gradually started migrating to open-source solutions to free itself from and improve its purchase negotiation power. One of the key aspects of this move has been the use of LibreOffice. 2011 • The administrative authority of the region (which includes the city of Paris) included LibreOffice in a given to students which contains free open-source software. The USB flash drive is given to approximately 800,000 students. • It was announced that thirteen hospitals of the region would gradually switch to LibreOffice, affecting 'almost all of the 25,000 workers'. 2012 • The Greek city of migrated its PCs to use LibreOffice. The local estimated cost savings to be at least €70,000. • In July, the Spanish city of switched its 1,200 PCs to using LibreOffice, citing cost savings of €400,000. • The administration of, Italy, started a project to migrate an initial group of 5,000 civil workers to LibreOffice. • The city of, US has been a long-time user of open-source software using Linux thin clients. This is in line with Munich's long term commitment to using open-source software. Munich uses, an Linux derivative, on nearly all of the city's 15,000 computers. The city of Munich is the second public administration to join the advisory board at the Document Foundation. News appeared in 2014 that the Council is considering migrating back to Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office but was later denied. Based on a study, the mayor of Munich,, initiated the re-investigation of the scenario of migrating back to Microsoft systems. The trustworthiness of the study is questionable because the company has been 'Microsoft's Alliance Partner of the Year' for nine years. Further details were issued by the Document Foundation. 2014 • The French city of announced it saved €1 million by migrating thousands of workstations to LibreOffice. 2015 • The Italian Ministry of Defence announced that it would install LibreOffice on 150,000 PCs. • The Italian city of replaced Microsoft Office with LibreOffice on its 1,700 PCs. • LibreOffice was officially made available for all UK Government agencies nationwide. Annual cost saving on a subscription for 6,500 users compared to MS Office is approximately 900,000 GBP. • In 2015, the Taiwanese announced that no more Microsoft Office licenses would be purchased. • In July 2015, the IT project manager working for the administration of Nantes (France’s sixth largest city) talked about the ongoing switch of its 5,000 workstations to LibreOffice started in 2013. According to the IT project manager, the switch to LibreOffice allowed the administration to save €1.7 million. • As of 2015, LibreOffice is installed on almost all of the 500,000 workstations of the 11 French ministries members of the MIMO working group. Creative Text Effects Both Draw and Impress have some interesting special effects tools that can take text and text shape objects to another level. Some of these 'Special Effects' tools are found on the Mode toolbar ( VIEW-> TOOLBARS-> MODE). Some of the tools will require a bit of trial and error when experimenting with them while others are more straight forward. The tools/commands discussed here include: • (mostly as comparison to the other tools) • (Perspective) • (Slant) • • Command • Fontwork Most users of Draw or Impress are already familiar with Fontwork. This section will review the Circle Fontwork styles that most users are familiar with and add a few twists to it. This will set the stage for 2 very special effects commands; Set In Circle and Set To Circle. Fontwork Circle Shapes Of all the Fontwork styles, the Fontwork Circle shapes seems to give users the most trouble. The icons represent what they do but they may not be appear quite as obvious as they could be, particularly if a user has never worked in any other kind of graphic design program before. Even the tool tip that appears over the shape button is less than helpful. The Fontwork Circle shapes are divided into two categories with 2 subcategories: • Circle Curve: Circle (curve) and Open Circle (curve) • Circle Pour: Circle (pour) and Open Circle (pour) Circle (curve) The Circle (curve) shapes text over a circular path. The text can go completely around the path or partially around the path. The text flows around the path in an East/West direction. The size of the text is controlled by how much it completes the circular path. The less complete the circular path the smaller the text will be. Also, the more text typed the smaller it will get. To get a real circular shape rather than an elliptical shape the Fontwork object needs to be stretched vertically. Moving the Shape Handle past either left or right sizing handle will flip the text, which is particularly useful if only needing to use half of the path. There is no direct way to control how the text flows along the circular path as it flows equally left or right with the centre point being over either the left or right sizing handle. If only creating a half circle of text, the text will flow either on the left or right half of the circle not the top or bottom. If you want the text to only flow on the top or bottom half of the circular path then you need to rotate it into that position. If you try to use the Flip command to flip the text to the opposite side of the arc, it will not work the way expected as the text will flip backwards similar to a mirror image. Although Circle (curve) shape is meant for a continuous string of words, you can create 'word arches' where the words arch over each other because they are on separate lines. To create word arches you need to use the Enter key to insert paragraph breaks between the words you wish to place on separate lines. By placing the words on separate lines you get a series of row arches created by the words. The more Enters (paragraph space) you place between the words the greater the vertical space between the words. However, you will still need to do some minor manipulating of the shape to get some of the words readable as the inner arched words will jumble their letters together as the angle of the arch gets smaller and smaller. Generally all that is required is to reshape the Fontwork object using the Shape Handle, keeping in mind that more you travel around the circular path, the larger the letters get. The next step is to stretch the words wider (not taller) by stretching the side Shape Handles until all text is readable (it will get very large). The final step is to resize the shape back to the original size by holding down SHIFT button (to constrain the Proportions) and dragging any of the sizing handles until it returns to the desired size. If need be, use the Rotate tool to rotate the Fontwork to the desired position (hold down the SHIFT key to constrain rotation to 15 degree increments or use the Position and Size box). Open Circle (curve) The Shape Handle flips the text when passing over the Top or Bottom sizing handle. The Open Circle (curve) is designed for multiple word Fontwork objects. At the basic level it behaves similar to the Circle (curve) command, in that words can flow completely around the path. The text flows in a North/South direction. The path always starts from the top centre and moves equally down both sides towards the bottom. When the Shape Handle passes over the Top or Bottom sizing handle then the words will flip. You can not directly create a left, right or bottom half circle of text but you can Rotate the text into that position. The real purpose of the Open Circle (curve) is to stretch a word or line of text across the middle of the circle path as indicated by its icon. Once again paragraph breaks (Enter key) are used to place words on separate lines. If only one paragraph break is used, the word or words following the paragraph space will be placed in the middle and stretched across in a straight line. The Shape Handle will spread the word or words preceding the paragraph break around the top and bottom of the circle. Multiple paragraph breaks create multiple variations. The illustration below demonstrates the variation with one paragraph break placed after the word 'Fontwork'. Generally you will need to use the Shape Handle to redraw the shape to make it more readable. Enter placed after the word Fontwork: Variations of the shape after one paragraph break. Inserting more paragraph breaks separates the the text creating more space. An image or another word can be placed inside creating a 'logo' effect. Where you place the paragraph break, in front of or behind a word can make a difference on how the shape behaves. Placing a paragraph break before and after the first word 'Fontwork' places the word Fontwork in the middle of the circular path and therefore on the straight line. Enter placed after each word: Paragraph breaks placed after each word except the last word '(curve)'. Each shape is adjusted with the Shape Handles to make the text more readable. As mentioned above inserting a paragraph break before the first word places the first word in the centre text and stretches it across the centre circle shape. Placing a paragraph break after the last word can also produce interesting results. In this illustration both Fontwork objects have a paragraph space after the words 'Fontwork' and 'Open'. The second Fontwork object has an extra paragraph break after the last word '(curve)'. This empty paragraph break makes the words 'Circle (curve)' the centre of the circular shape and therefore straightens and stretches them while maintaining a curve arch for both the words 'Fontwork' and 'Open'. Circle (pour) The word 'pour' in Circle (pour) means that the letters can be foreshortened (perspective like view) towards or away from the centre of the circle path. Moving the Shape Handle towards the centre, elongates the letters towards the centre and making them appear to be foreshortened into the centre. Moving the Shape Handle away from the centre, compressing the foreshortening making the letters appear to be receding away from the centre. The text flows in left/right direction. Passing over the horizontal centre flips the text. To pour as close into the centre as possible, you need to zoom in very close. The Shape Handle greatly influences the 'pouring' of the letters. Dragging the Shape Handle towards the centre of the circular path 'pours' the letters into the centre, with a strong sense of foreshortening as the letters are skewed towards the centre. Moving the Shape Handle away from the centre compresses the text but still provides some foreshortening of the text with the sense that the text is receding away from the viewer. The more the text is poured towards the centre more it needs to complete the circle to become readable. As demonstrated in this illustration, a half circle of test is best read when dragging the Shape Handle away from the centre. Also the more words use in the Fontwork object the more acute the foreshortening becomes as the Shape handle is dragged towards towards the centre. Although this shape probably wasn't specifically meant for paragraph breaks, they will still alter the look of the Fontwork object. With the Circle (pour) object there is the extra option of pouring towards or away from the centre. However unlike the Circle (curve) object placing a paragraph break after the first word does not allow that word to continue around the circle. Placing a paragraph break after at least two words will allow those words to flow around the circle shape. Also keep in mind, since this shape is a left/right flowing shape, you may need to Rotate it for a top/bottom flow. In this illustration the four columns demonstrates how the Fontwork object becomes modified by placing paragraph breaks after different words. The 'Enter' of course represents a paragraph break. The Fontwork objects in the middle row represents a mid-range where the text is not skewed very much and the text is still very readable. In the top row the Fontwork object's Shape Handles were dragged as close as possible towards the centre for an extreme foreshortening (pouring) towards the centre. For fine incremental adjustments it does help to zoom in closely on the object when dragging the Shape Handle. If you don't zoom in close you may end up flipping the text rather than pouring towards the centre. In the bottom row the Fontwork object's Shape Handles were dragged away from the centre for an extreme compressing of the text. Open Circle (pour) Like the Open Circle (curve), the Open Circle (pour) is meant to receive paragraph breaks to place words in the middle of the circular shape. In this illustration the paragraph break is placed after the word 'Fontwork' which forces the words 'Open Circle (pour)' to be placed in a straight line in the centre while allowing the word 'Fontwork' to flow around them. The flow is a north/south direction. Extra space can be added between letters or words if more spacing is needed. There is an inverse relation between the number of words used for the straight centre, and how pronounced the foreshortened pouring effect will be. In this illustration there is a paragraph break after the word 'Fontwork' (which forces the word 'Open' on its own line) and a paragraph break after the word 'Open' (which forces the words 'Circle (pour)' back out into the circle). However unlike the other circle shapes notice that if more than one paragraph break is used the words can be made to accidentally overlap each other making them hard to read. Of all the Fontwork Circle shapes, this one probably requires the most control to be effective. Multiple paragraph breaks and shape adjustment produce interesting results. As with the Circle (pour) dragging the shape Handle towards or away from the centre modifies the foreshortening 'pouring' effect considerably. Once again if you wish to pour into the centre as close as possible, it will be necessary to zoom in close. Set in Circle (perspective) Set in Circle (perspective) is one of the object transforming tools found in the Mode toolbar. The Mode toolbar contains most of the special effect tools for transforming objects. This tool works only on vector objects not bitmap objects. All vector objects including text, Drawing shapes and Fontwork, must to be converted to a 'Curve object'. (Most of the tools in the Mode toolbar will ask you if you wish to convert the object to a curve if its not already a curve object.) This tool reshapes objects in a similar way that the Fontwork shape handle reshapes text. All vector shapes including all the Drawing Shapes can be distorted, bend and reshaped. When the Set in Circle (perspective) tool is selected the pointer will change to the 'Set in Circle' icon when placed over any selection handle. As soon as the selection handle is manipulated a perspective grid becomes visible over the object. As you bend, twist and distort the object the grid also bend, twists and distorts with the object so its easy to see how and why the object is being transformed into the shape it becomes. The object can be manipulated to such an extent that in no longer resembles its original shape. The circular grid can be seen to be made made up of circular 'rings' with longer rings on the outside and shorter rings towards the centre. Any part of the shape that is on the outside rings will elongate or stretch wider while any part of the shape that is in the shorter rings will compress or squish together. The Circle Grid In this illustration a Drawing star shape has been converted to a curve and the Set in Circle icon is manipulating the top right selection handle. The basic concept is to drag that handle in circular pattern (hence the name Set in Circle) and bring it back to the opposite side of the shape as shown. Its not necessary to complete the circle, you can stop at any point. The grid shows the circular pattern and how it distorts the shape. This tool can easily get out of control as shown here in this zoomed out illustration of the Draw slide. Its very easy to make the grid jump really large and off the slide. Similar to the Fontwork shape handle, the object is easily flipped when passing over a certain point. The middle handles will effect the object differently than the corner handles. When dragging a handle, you generally drag in a circular motion. Its not necessary to drag out a complete circle, you can stop at any point and just drag out a part circle. For the best results it is necessary to zoom in close as that will provide more control over the tool. When zoomed in close the tool can even be made to overlap itself and create some interesting shapes. Some tips on using this tool: • Zoom in close for better control • When dragging a handle, keep it close to the shape. The further you drag it away from the shape the less control there is and most likely the grid will jump very large. • The SHIFT key can be used to slow down the drawing of the grid and it can help to constrain the size of the grid. • It is not necessary to drag the grid into a complete circle. • A shape can be manipulated over and over. • Try dragging different handles, you will get different results. • If you don't like what you get use the Undo command or the keyboard shortcut CRTL+Z. • This is an excellent tool to manipulate text that has been converted to a Curve. Manipulating a Text Shape As shown in this illustration, the larger you make the circle grid the more foreshortened (compressed) the letters become. To some extent, the circular shape of text resembles some of the Fontwork Circle shapes discussed above. It does make a difference which handle is used. The top and bottom middle handles will produce an entirely different effect than the other handles. The corner handles and the left and right middle handles always produce a circular effect as show here while the top and bottom middle handles will create a very different effect as shown below. In the first example the right middle handle was dragged to create the circle text shape. The corner handles and the left/right middle handles create a narrow ring shaped circular grid. In the second example the top middle handle was dragged which creates a large, flat circular grid. The text shapes stretch flatly along the circular grid creating a kind of spinning effect. This also creates large blocks of solid areas from the overlapping shapes, which renders the text unreadable. Reworking the Grid One advantage of the Set in Circle (perspective) tool is that circular shape's grid can be manipulated over and over. The most interesting shapes will probably those whose grid has been manipulated at least twice. In this illustration the three circular shapes are manipulated once more using different handles. The results yield dynamic but still readable text shapes. Drop shadows, colour fills and even rotating the shape if necessary, will provide lots of 'artistic punch' to the circular shape. However, manipulating the grid beyond 3-4 times often results in some distorted and unreadable text shapes. More examples demonstrating manipulation of the grid multiple times using different handles. Keep in mind that when a shape's grid is being manipulated several times that the shape is already foreshortened and distorted and it is this foreshortening and distortion that you are manipulating. Its not as if the shape resets itself before the next distortion. In other words if the text has been stretched or distorted too much to be readable, there is no way to fix it as the distortion just gets worse. This where the Undo command comes in handy. If the shape isn't working out after the second or third manipulation cut your losses and use the Undo and try again. When manipulating the circle grid multiple times keep an eye on how the text shape winds around the 'rings' of the grid. The larger outside rings will elongated the shape with the greatest elongation happening on the outside ring. Conversely, the smaller lower rings will compress the shape with the greatest compression of the shape taking place in the lowest ring of the grid. Using different handles and rotating in different direction effects the elongation and compression of the grid. If you find that the part of the shape in the lower rings of the grid are too compressed, you can try dragging a couple of the middle handles outward. Generally when the middle handles are dragged outwards they tend to stretch the shape and can sometimes stretch out a compressed area. However if the shape is too compressed this may not help and the only recourse is to use the Undo command to undo to a previous state and try again. Keep this in mind: • the smaller you make the lower rings the more compressed that part of the shape will become. • The larger you make the outside rings, the more elongated that part of the shape will become. Set to Circle (slant) The Set to Circle (slant) command is also found in the Mode toolbar, but it works differently than the Set in Circle (perspective). The difference is in how the shape is distorted around the circle grid. This illustration compares both the Set in Circle (perspective) and Set to Circle (slant) shapes. Whereas the perspective shape flattens the letters as the circle is completed, the slant compresses or 'slants' the letters at the widest angle. The slant effect looks like the text shape is wrapping around something. In other words both the perspective and slant modes use the circle grid to compress a shape but the difference is in how the circle grid achieves this effect. Whereas the perspective grid creates a grid with larger outer rings and smaller lower rings that is used to compress the shape, the slant grid stays the same size and the compression happens to the edges of the grid that are at the greatest angle from your point of view. The difference between the two is better illustrated using the phrase 'Around the World'. In the perspective object the letter shapes are flattened out and circle the earth image in a North/South longitudinal direction as if circling around the poles. In the slant object the letters shapes rotate around the earth image in a latitudinal direction as if they are circling around the equator of the earth. As the letter shapes 'bend' around the earth, where the bend is the greatest the letter shapes are compressed thin and have the visual appearance of circling the earth. Therefore the Set to Circle (slant) is best used when the effect of circling around the circumference of an object is desired. Dragging a handle left or right produces a slightly different effect as to how the letter shapes rotate around the circle grid. Dragging to the left you tend see the bottom of the letter shapes. Dragging to the right you tend see the top of the letter shapes. As shown here, the larger you make the circle grid the more slanted (skewed) the letter shapes become. To keep the letter shapes more readable, make a smaller circle and just enlarge it using the handles. Keep the SHIFT button down to constrain the proportions. You will probably find that enlarging smaller shapes works better than creating overly large shapes. Reworking the Grid Reworking the Set to Circle (slant) grid will not yield the multitude of interesting results that the perspective mode did. The 2 main reason being that you have less control on the distortion and some aspect of the shape will always be severely compressed. However working the grid can yield some interesting, though not necessary totally readable results. Wrapping the Shape Around an Image To create the appearance of the text shape wrapping around an image several steps are required: • Ungroup the shape - all letter shapes can now be individually selected. • Select the letter shapes that should appear behind the image and use the Send to Back command to sent those shapes behind the image as show in the 'Re-worked' example. Distort The Distort command is also found in the Mode toolbar. It only works on vector objects that have been converted to curves and that includes Drawing shapes, text and FontWork objects. Bitmaps need to converted to Contours but the effect is very limited on bitmaps and mostly acts as mask that hides part of the skewed image. The Distort command has two modes • Skew: is activated by selecting any of the middle handles. The Left and Right middle handles skew the object horizontally left or right and the Top and Bottom middle handles skew the object vertically up or down. • Perspective: places a perspective grid on the object when any of the corner handles are selected. Dragging by any corner handle creates a one-point perspective distortion. Dragging the top left corner handle creates a one-point perspective receding away from the viewer. Dragging the top right corner handle creates a one-point perspective coming towards the viewer. Skew When placing the cursor over any of the middle handles the cursor will change to the 'Skew' icon (double half arrows) and the arrows point in the direction to drag; horizontally for the Top and Bottom handles and vertically for the Left and Right handles. Objects can be skewed down to almost a flat line. The object can also be stretched with the skew handles, thereby allowing an object to be skewed and stretched at the same time. Probably one of the best uses for the Skew is in creating skewed drop shadows on objects. In this illustration 4 steps are shown in the creation of a skewed drop shadow. The right side of the illustration demonstrate how effective skewed drop shadows can be for adding depth to an object. Perspective Placing the cursor over any of the corner handles turns the cursor into the 'pointing hand' cursor and a one-point perspective grid is placed on the object. Dragging the handles clearly shows the grid and how the one-point perspective grid will effect the object. The handles can be dragged in any direction. Holding down the SHIFT key will constrain the grid to 45° angles. As shown in this illustration on the right, the one-point perspective can be taken to the extreme and can make some text shapes difficult to read. Reworking the grid As with the other special effect tools that use a grid, the grid can be reworked by selecting another corner handle and moving in a different direction. Once again a grid will appear and the grid will indicate the perspective distortion that will be applied. You will probably find that reworking the grid will create better effects than just applying the one-point perspective grid once to the object (unless, of course, the simple one-point perspective is what you want). Combining the Skew and Perspective will also create interesting effects. Combining the Skew and Perspective effects can create a variety of interesting drop shadows for objects. You will probably find that this combination will create more realistic drop shadow effect than a simple Skew or one-point perspective shadow. These combination can create shadows that appear to climb up a wall as shown in the first example in this illustration. The Duplicate Command The Duplicate command is found under the Edit menu: EDIT -> DUPLICATE. It's function is to duplicate objects, however you need set some of its options before you duplicate anything. At the basic level the Duplicate command is fast tool for creating multiple copies of an object. For example, if you wanted to create 11 straight lines exactly 2.5cm (1 inch) apart form each other, you would create the first line and then set those options in the command box, and as a result, you would get exactly 11 straight lines, each exactly 2.5cm apart. Or maybe you would like to create 11 stars, equal distant, going down the side of a page while blending their colours from red to blue; simply create the first star and set those options in the command box. In other words instead of copying and pasting an object multiple times, then changing their attributes and then aligning them up, the Duplicate Command can do some of that for you and save you lots of time in the process. The Duplicate Command dialogue box The options are broken down as such: Number of copies: number of duplicate copies • Placement: • X axis: moves each duplicate horizontally left (negative value) or right (positive value). Each duplicate moves the 'X value' amount away from each other. • Y axis: moves each duplicate vertically up (negative value) or down (positive value). Each duplicate moves the 'Y value' amount away from each other. • Angle: rotates the duplicated objects. Each duplicate is rotated from the previous duplicate by the indicated amount. • Enlargement: • Width: stretches each duplicates' width (positive value) or compresses each duplicates' width (negative value). • Height: stretches each duplicates' height (positive value) or compresses each duplicates' height (negative value). • Angle: rotates each duplicated objects. Each duplicate is rotated from the previous duplicate by the indicated amount. • Colors: • Start blend color: applied to the original object which starts the colour blend between duplicated objects. • End blend color: last duplicated object's colour that ends the colour blend. Just about any object can be duplicated, including drawing shapes, Fontwork, custom shapes, text, text shapes and bitmaps. Some options may not be applicable to certain objects, i.e., the Colors options won't apply to duplicated.jpg images, but will apply to.gif and.png images that contain transparencies as the transparent part will be filled with the blend colours. Some points to consider when using this command: • An object being duplicated will have its original colour replaced by the Start blend color if the colours are not the same. • When duplicating text boxes, the options only apply to the text box itself, not the text. • Grouped objects will have their original colours replaced with the Start blend color. • The Color options do not apply to non-transparent bitmap images like.jpg and.tif but will apply to bitmap images with transparences like.png and.gif (the transparent part of the images takes the colour). • The effect of the Placement and Enlargement options are cumulative. For example, if the Width option setting is set to 2.5cm (1 inch), the first duplicated object's width will be stretched (increased) by 2.5cm which then becomes the starting width for the second duplicate, which in turn increases its width by another 2.5cm, which then becomes the starting width for the third duplicate which in turn increases its width by another 2.5cm and so forth. • The duplicated objects are not Grouped together. • Duplicated objects are duplicates of the original, meaning that if a FontWork object is duplicated all the duplicates are Fontwork objects also. Examples of the Duplicate Command and with various options. Since this command effects a text box rather than the text, the text here was converted to curves so the that text shape could be effected. The original text shape was Black and the Start and End blend colours were Red and Green. If you don't wish to blend colours, make sure the Start and End colours are the same as the object's colour. It is clear to see that using a combination of options will yield many interesting possibilities. Applying this command to Fontwork objects can also create some interesting designs. Mixing up the options won't always yield useable results. Like any special effect tool its a matter of trial and error before you can reasonably anticipate what the results will be. As always, if the effect doesn't turn out the way you expect or like, then Undo the effect and try some other options. Cross-fading The Cross-fading command is found under the Edit menu: EDIT -> CROSS-FADING. It's function is to make incremental changes to the duplicate objects in a 'twisted' way. This command requires two objects; a Start object and an End object which are usually set a little distance apart so that the duplicates can be created between them. Once completed, the command Groups all objects together. At the basic level, if the Start and End objects are the same then the duplicates will be identical, which is similar to the Duplicate Command. For example, if two squares of the same size but different colours are used as the Start and End objects, the duplicates will all be the same size but their colours will be a blend between the Start colour and End colour. If, however, the End square is bigger, then each duplicated objects will increase in size until the last duplicate is almost the same size as the End square. Cross-faded objects are always grouped together once they are created. To use any of the in-between objects they will need to be ungrouped. Only vector shapes can be Cross-faded. Drawing shapes can be used as they are but Fontwork objects will need to be converted to curves to cross-fade properly. Text boxes won't cross-fade so text needs to be converted to curves to cross-fade. The real fun part happens when Cross-fading different shaped objects. Cross-fading examples using Drawing Shapes, text shapes and Fontwork objects. Text and Fontwork objects need to be converted to curves. The more different the Start and End objects are, the more distorted or twisted the Cross-fading objects become. Although Cross-faded objects are automatically Grouped, Cross-fading will not work on Grouped objects. When converting text to curves keep in mind that the Convert to Curve command will also automatically Group the text shapes together. The text shapes will need to Ungrouped as individual objects and then either Merged or Combined into one object. The text shapes will still look the same but will no longer be a collection of individual grouped shapes. If you are ever trying to use the Cross-fading command on two objects and notice that the command is 'grayed' out, meaning it can't be used, then its most likely that one or both of the objects are still grouped together. Cross-fading Command dialogue box Cross-fading has only three properties: Increments: the number of incremental changes (created objects) between the START and END objects. Cross-fade attributes: blending the START and END attributes, such as colour and line, between all created objects. If left Unchecked then the START objects attributes are applied to all created objects. Same orientation: makes a smoother transition between the cross-faded objects by orienting them on the same plane. This can be seen in this illustration of a Cross-fading red diamond shape and green square. In the first example the Same orientation is selected and the cross-faded shapes are in the same flat plane as the START and END objects. In the second example the Same orientation is not selected and the flat plane of the cross-faded shapes appear to rotate towards/away from the viewer into their new shapes. The Cross-fading effect matches which START and END shapes will cross-fade with each other starting from the left shape and working towards the right to the last shape. Where the START and END objects contain different number of shapes, the effect tries to simulate the cross-fading of the non-matching shapes. In this illustration the first example has a START shape using only the text shapes 'cross' while the END shape uses the full text shape 'cross-fading'. In the second example a triangular, square and circular shape is cross-faded into the 'cross-fading' text shape. Notice that in both cases the START object has less shapes then the END object. The Cross-fading effect simulates the non-existing shapes based on the distortion of the existing shapes. Notice that the triangle, square and circle shapes are cross-faded only into the first three letter shapes of 'Cross-fading'. Generally, if the START and END objects contain the same number of shapes then the cross-fade effect can better match shape to shape which will usually yield better results. Creating Grungy Text Anyone who has used the Points button to access and manipulate the Control points of text shapes knows that you can create unique text shapes using this method. However it requires a lot of practise to understand how Control points effect line segments. An easier way to create unique, weird, jagged, rough or grungy looking text shape letters is to Cross-fade 2 text shape objects. For example, if creating a Halloween banner, cross-fading 2 'Halloween' text shape objects can quickly create some rough, grungy looking intermediate text shapes that help convey the spooky Halloween content. In this illustration two different fonts were used used for the START and END text objects (you can use the same font for both as long as one is different such as enlarged or stretched). Not all the cross-faded objects will be useable, but some of them will be very readable as shown here. The higher the Increment number, the more intermediate shapes are created which yields smaller changes between each shape which in turn creates a higher number of readable text shapes. Conclusion The quest to create unique text requires taking steps beyond the default of just applying fill colours, outlines and Fontwork. These special text effect tools will allow you to create unique, one-of-kind text shapes that can be used for banner text, logos and headlines. Comments or suggestions:. LibreOffice Draw absolutely pales in comparison to applications like The Gimp, Photoshop, and other professional image editing tools. So, why bother including it? There's actually a very simple and handy reason for the inclusion of this tool — to quickly add rudimentary drawing elements into the likes of LibreOffice Writer documents. If you create word processing documents and are often needing to include the likes of: • Callouts • Lines and freehand lines • Shapes • Arrows • Flowcharts • Text frames. You'll be surprised how easy it is to add these items into your LibreOffice Writer documents. However, it's not exactly obvious how this is done. Of course, when you see just how to do it, you'll wonder how you missed it. There are no configuration options for this feature — so, you get what you get (but what you get is plenty). With that said, let's dive into adding Draw objects to your LibreOffice Writer documents. This works the same on all platforms, but I'll be demonstrating on Ubuntu 14.04, running LibreOffice 4.3.2.2. The feature works out of the box, so there's no additional work to be done. Opening the toolbar The Draw elements feature works as a toolbar. Once it's opened, you can move the toolbar around on the document window, but you cannot undock the bar. You can, however, add and remove elements from the bar. First, let's add the Drawing toolbar to the window. There are two ways to do do this: • From the main toolbar, click the Drawing icon ( Figure A) • Click View| Toolbars| Drawing. Figure A The Drawing icon is shown here on the far left. Once you open the Drawing toolbar, it will default to the bottom of the window ( Figure B). Figure B The Drawing toolbar in action. As you can see, there are plenty of default Drawing objects you can add. For example, you can add a text frame that can be moved anywhere on the page (see the video below). Most of the default objects are self explanatory. But if the toolbar doesn't include the object you want, you can customize it. To do this, follow these steps: • Click View| Toolbars| Customize • From the Toolbar drop-down, select Drawing • Click the Add button ( Figure C) • Select Drawing from the Category • Scroll through the list of objects in the Commands window • Select the object(s) you wish to add (select multiple objects by holding down the [Ctrl] key on your keyboard) • When you've selected the desired object(s), click Add • Click Close • Click OK Figure C Adding new Drawing objects to the toolbar. You can even add animated text to your documents. Animated text scrolls from right to left. Unfortunately, you cannot change this (it's still a cool object to jazz up your documents). Formatting or changing various aspects of an object is simple: • Click on the object within the document • Click on the formatting option in the toolbar (new options in the toolbar appear in the toolbar when an object is selected — Figure D) • Click on the option to be edited Figure D Formatting Drawing objects within LibreOffice Writer. To move the toolbar, you simply have to grab the toolbar handle (three tiny lines on the left edge of the bar) and move it to whatever edge of the screen you want. I find placement at the top to be a bit easier to use (as I don't like anything in the way of the status bar at the bottom). LibreOffice comes with plenty of tools to make your job easier. If you need to add Drawing objects into your documents, there's no need to open up yet another application, you just have to open up a toolbar and add to your heart's content. Let's boot up and get hacking! Where Linux Passwords Are Stored Linux passwords are stored in the /etc/passwd file in cleartext in older systems and in /etc/shadow file in hash form on newer systems. We should expect that the passwords on anything other than old legacy systems to be stored in /etc/shadow. Step 1: Create Some User Accounts Since our BackTrack system probably doesn't have many users on it other than our root account, let's go ahead and create a couple more accounts. Let's create user1 with password ' flower' and user2 with a password of ' hacker'. I've purposely chosen dictionary words as the complexity of the password is inversely related to the time necessary to crack it. One of the nice features of John the Ripper is that it will try to use a dictionary attack first. Crack and Reset the system password locally using Kali linux. Download Kali Linux and burn the ISO to a CD/DVD. Crack the password in Linux using John the. If that fails, it will try a hybrid attack. And only if that fails will it attempt a brute-force attack, which is the most time consuming. Step 2: Open John the Ripper Now that we have a couple of regular users in our system with simple passwords, we now need to open John the Ripper. John the Ripper is a simple, but powerful password cracker without a GUI (this helps to make it faster as GUIs consume resources). We can access it from BackTrack by going to the BackTrack button on the bottom left, then Backtrack, Privilege Escalation, Password Attacks, Offline Attacks, and finally select John the Ripper from the multiple password cracking tools available. Back when I was a Windows user, I know I'm not the only one who has experienced password loss—that moment where you just can't remember your password. Sometimes it happens to the best of us. So, how can we get into the system without paying a local geek or geeksquad to do it? First, we have to look into how Windows stores their passwords. When Windows saves your user passwords, it stores them in a SAM file. It stores users' in a hashed format (in and hash). Since a is one-way, this provides some measure of security for the storage of the passwords. However, this can still be bruteforced. Some time ago there was an exploit that allowed you to delete the SAM file and log into any account without a password. This is fixed, since Windows no longer allows access to the SAM file while Windows is running. For this, we are going to use a Linux Live CD to remove a Windows password using the chntpw tool. Requirements • on a DVD, or a Linux install with chntpw • A password on a Windows installation Step 1 Boot From BackTrack Text in bold is a terminal command. • Put the disc in your computer. • Hit the the setup button. • Change CD/DVD to be first on the boot order. • Exit the setup and save your settings. • When you get to the console, boot with; user:root paswword:toor. • Boot into the KDE desktop environment: startx • Open a terminal. Step 2 Mount Drive & Change Windows Password Now we have to mount the Windows drive partition to modify the password, or remove it completely. • First, wehave to mount the hard drive partition that the Windows installtion is located on. Mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/ • Change to the directory that the SAM file is in so that we can prepare to modify its contents. Cd /mnt//Windows/System32/config • List the users on the computer contained in the SAM file. Chntpw -l SAM • Change a specific user account password. Chntpw -u USERNAME SAM • Now, lets unmount the drive and boot from Windows to use the updated or cleared password. Umount /dev/sda1 If you have any questions regarding today's post, feel free to join us on. Also, follow me on for the latest Null Byte updates. Additional backup modules such as VMware, Hyper-V and Exchange Mail-level backup modules can be purchased separately for using in conjunction with AhsayOBM. We have been using Ahsay for the past 8 years. We purchased a lot of licenses over the years, all with maintenance fees. We upgraded fine from version 5 to 6 versions, but suddenly from version 6 to 7 we had to purchase individual licenses for the backup servers and it was not included in the maintenance fee. We purchase the servers (again) for a lot of money since we where forced to do so by Ahsay, and upgraded to version 7. Ahsay Backup Software is simply the best backup software available for backup data on-premises or offsite. Our Whitelabel OEM Rebrandable Edition empowers MSPs to. Free offsite backup software downloads - Collection of offsite backup software freeware, shareware download - Ahsay Online Backup Software (Windows Platform), Ahsay. For over +1½ year we seem to have been part of an test program helping develop version 7 at our customers and internally, spending thousands on licensenses and more in man hours, because of the version 7 is not working. It is better now, but still way to unstable and uses way to much man hours just to keep it running, I would from all my heart say, DONT USE AHSAY. What are the pros? Extreamly unstable system. The time used to maintain this in the daily operation is extreamly high. Support is slow and not usable response time for proffessionals. A LOT of bugs, new ones as well as old ones that keep popping up. Ahsay seems to use bully methods, changing models as they like and forces you to buy the software. Example, I have a customer who has stopped buying maintenance fee. The old server chrashes. No problem we just install a new OBS on another server and point it to the datastore where the data is located. But NO to do so the license has to be relaxed due to change in the NIC. I contact Ahsay to get them to relax the license so the new installation is accepted. Ahsay declines since there is no maintenance on the license. So now I have all my backup data, but not able to access it until I pay them for maintenance of upgrade (the license is a fully purchased license), I am not able to login and do this my self. This is just one of many examples of the mafia methods Ahsay is using to get their money. I have been an Ahsay partner for the last 11 years and have seen many improvements with the product. The product is designed for use mostly in small residential and small commercial backup solutions. While the product has had its reliability issues on some versions, I have really been struggling to stay with Ahsay as a partner. Over the past few years, the quality and reliability of their software has fluctuated with their versions. And now with version 7.5 out, I have ben seeing many bugs within the software. 7.5 really makes it easy for the service provider with the easy branding, however, with issues on 'missed backups' having my customers being notified that their backups were missed while it was successful isn't a pat on the back for reputation tho. While being a faithful partner with maintenance over the years, they have always said you could update to the latest version of the software. This isn't quite true and I am not happy with the management at Ahsay for misleading their partner network. You can only upgrade to version 6.x and if you want to go to version 7.x it will cost you even if you have paid for maintenance. Ahsay has changes much of its licensing and is confusing now. With the misleading of product upgrades for it's partners and the only way is to pay more for product licensing, I will shortly be looking for a replacement for Ahsay as many other partners have done in the past year due to Ahsay management philosophy change. For those considering Ahsay, I would strongly consider alternatives to this product since it will cost you more down the road in not only time and licensing, but business and service reputation. Overall, technical support is okay if you only expect 1-2 day response - critical issue support? Better have a great 'developer' understanding of their product, since you will need it. Sales team - lots of turn over there. Sales managers are seasoned but I'm sure your impression of their front line sales folks will damage your impression before you get to the Sales management team. The market now has much better products to choose from due to technology changes that have happened in the past years while Ahsay has not kept current. Thanks, Chris. |
